Thank you for the question. Samsung does not make stainless steel side panels or "wraps" for the refrigerators, though the stainless units do have grey-painted sides to closely match the color of the doors.

Providing the recommended clearance around the outside of the RF4287HAWP - at least 2" above and behind and 1" on each side - should help to maximize performance and efficiency. If either side will open into a fixed wall, you should leave at least 3-3/4" of clearance on that side so the door can open at least 90° unobstructed.

I'm sorry to hear you have scratches on your RF4287HARS refrigerator. Unfortunately, there's no easy solution for removing scratches from stainless steel, especially if the scratch is deep enough to change the contour of the surface. I would suggest polishing the unit with stainless cleaner, or try a little baby oil. To apply the baby oil, add a very small amount to a soft, lint-free cloth and rub into the stainless surface thoroughly. This will not only clean the stainless but will also help to resist fingerprints, though there's really no way to know if it will help conceal the scratches until you try; hopefully this will help.

If the icemaker is dispensing crushed ice when cubed is selected, and you're sure the correct ice type is selected on the control panel, it may be caused by the "door" on the ice chute being stuck in the closed position due to ice build up, or the freezer temperature may be too cold. Thanks for the question. Though the drawers may appear to have "snap together" parts, they do not and may break if you try to force them apart. To clean the hard-to-reach areas, I would suggest soaking them in warm soapy water.

The safest way to remove frost and ice from the freezer drawer is by wiping it with a towel. You can also remove the bin in the freezer and wash it with warm water if the ice buildup cannot be removed effectively with a towel. The freezer in the RF4287 is self-defrosting, so if this issue continues, it may be necessary to check the gasket around the freezer drawer for cracks and leaks, or reindex the drawer rollers if it is not closing properly. Thank you for the question. Excessive leaking from the dispenser may be caused by air in the lines, or it may be that your filter is clogged or partially clogged. Please try changing the filter and dispensing 5-6 gallons of water to remove the air from the water lines. Wipe any stray crushed ice fragments from the dispenser chute to be sure that is not what's causing at least some of the dripping.

The recommended temperature for the freezer compartment is -2°F. Foods like ice cream may melt at temperatures of 4°F or higher.

The Flex Zone temp settings are for the entire drawer. It doesn't matter where you put anything, the entire drawer will be kept at the setting you have chosen. The lineup of the settings are in temp order. The far left setting is the warmest for wine and party dishes on down to the coldes setting for meats and fish. We have ours on the deli snacks seeting. This seems to be a great seeting for cold drinks as well as our deli meats and cheeses. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the question. The control panel in the refrigerator is callibrated to sensors in the factory, and may vary by +/- 2 degrees based on industry standards. Given the disparity in temperature readings in your refrigerator, it is very possible that it will require service.

The icemaking function in the RF4287HARS can be turned on and off by pressing the Cubed and Crushed ice pads simultaneously for 3 seconds. The Ice Off icon on the display will indicate whether the icemaker is on (not illuminated) or off (illuminated).

As long as you have a back-up water filtration system, it is fine to remove the filter cartridge from the RF4287 refrigerator. There is no bypass cap for this model because it isn't necessary.
