Thank you for your interest. The ice maker in the RF26XAERS is not removable, but it can be turned off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel. Samsung does not make refrigerators without icemakers.

If your RF26XAERS is not dispensing water rapidly, please check the following:
- Is the supplied water pressure at the recommended level of 20~125 psi? Under normal conditions, a 170 cc (5.75 oz.) paper cup should fill in 10 seconds at this level.
- Is the water valve open all the way, with no bends or kinks in the line?
- Is the water filter installed with the indicator marks aligned properly?

If the problem persists, please click on the link below, then select "Water And Ice" > "Water" for additional troubleshooting suggestions: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Frost in the freezer results from the moisture in warmer air condensing on the cold surfaces in the freezer. While a small amount can be normal if the freezer drawer is opened frequently and in very warm, humid environments, excessive frost can be caused by either the drawer not closing properly or by inadequate ventilation. Please click on the following troubleshooting link, then click on Operation > Freezer > Frost in the Freezer: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Question

Water dsipenser

I have had this refrigerator for approximately one year and we love everything about it. We have recently had an issue with the water dispenser. It still dispenses water but at an extremely slower rate. It could take five minutes to fill and average sized cup. I have checked the filter and replaced it, I have checked the lines for kinks (none), and I have check the lines and temperature for freezing. None of these were the problem from what I can see. Have you heard of this issue before and do you have any recommendations? I look forward to hearing from you,

Kind Regards,
John

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your water dispenser. I would suggest you try removing the water filter temporarily and dispensing water. Under normal conditions, a 170 cc (5.75 oz.) glass should fill in approximately 10 seconds if your home's water pressure is at the recommended 20-125 psi. If it continues to dispense slowly without the filter installed, your home's water pressure has not changed and the water valve is on and lines are unobstructed, the refrigerator may require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with power outages effecting the controls on your RF26X refrigerator. Power outages can sometimes be accompanied by surges that can damage the refrigerator, and the display may show information codes that can be used to diagnose potential problems by qualified technicians. If your refrigerator is still displaying the code, or the next time it does, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine whether service will be necessary to correct the issue.

Question

Why are my shelves not level?

We've got a RF26X that the top adjustable shelf is not level. It slopes to the left. It is not supported by the adjustable support attached to the ice maker. In addition, the 2 shelves underneath it (half width) also slope to the middle. It seems the tracks are not applied to the inside of the fridge correctly! The fridge itself is level.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. It is difficult to tell from the photos whether the shelves in your RF26X could be leveled correctly by adjusting the height of the support attached to the icemaker in the case of the upper shelf, and changing the middle bracket positions for the two middle shelves. If making these adjustments does not resolve the issue, and the problem is indeed caused by a misalignment of the shelf supports, then please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

After replacing the water filter, it's important to bleed the air from the lines by pressing the dispenser lever for an extended period. Once water begins flowing, dispense up to 6 gallons to allow all of the air to pass through. Other factors include checking the water valve is turned on all the way and the lines are free of kinks or bends that could obstruct flow; making sure the Child Lock is not activated and the water function is selected. If the problem persists, check the water line connector under the left door hinge cover, as instructed on page 13 of the User Manual. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for your convenience.

Thank you for the question. WD-40 can be very effective in removing stains like water marks from the stainless steel finish. Apply a small amount of WD-40 to a dry, lint-free cloth then gently rub it into the affected area along the grain of the metal. WD-40 will not harm the stainless finish, though it may leave a slight "oil" odor which will fade over time.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If ice is forming under the crisper drawers, it's possible that your refrigerator temperature is set either too high or too low. Please adjust the temperature to 38°F, if necessary. The water that is freezing may be the result of condensation or it may be an indication of a leak that may require service to repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a problem with your RF26XAERS. There are different factors that can effect the ability of the door dispenser to operate and the water pooling and freezing can also have different causes. Because of this, service may be necessary to determine whether or not these issues are related. Before calling for service, I would suggest visiting the Troubleshooting Guide which contains articles that can help you check for water leaks. Click on the link below, then select "Troubleshooting ► > Water And Ice ► > Water Is Leaking": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

At the recommended 20-125 psi water pressure, a 6 oz glass of water should dispense in about 10 seconds. If yours is slower than this, please check to make sure the water valve is turned on all the way and the lines are free of bends or kinks that could obstruct flow. Try bleeding air from the lines by dispensing 5-6 gallons of water. If, after air is removed, the water is still coming out slow, try removing the filter temporarily. If water dispenses faster without the filter, then you may need to replace the filter cartridge with a new one. Though the filter usually needs to be replaced after about 6 months, it may need to be replaced sooner depending on usage and water purity.
