If ice is accumulating in the back of your RF26XAEBP, please make sure there is nothing blocking the vents in the back of the fridge or try raising the temperature. Samsung recommends setting the refrigerator and freezer temperatures to 38°F and -2°F, respectively, but they can be set higher when necessary in some situations.

Some noises the refrigerator makes are normal and can be minimized by properly leveling the refrigerator or making other minor adjustments; others may indicate a need for service. I would suggest you visit the Troubleshooting Guide through the link below, then select "Troubleshooting ► Noise/Vibration" to try to identify the cause and possible solution: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If the suggestions and explanations do not resolve your concern, please contact 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. The water that is under the fruit and veggie bins may be the result of condensation or it could be an indication of a leak that would require service to diagnose the cause of and repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will likely require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

To turn your RF26X icemaker off, press the Ice Off button on the control panel so the Ice Off icon is illuminated. If you want to turn the icemaker back on, press the Ice Off button again so the icon is no longer lit up.

If your icemaker is turned on but your RF26X is either not connected to a water supply or the water cannot make it to the icemaker due to a clogged filter or obstructed supply line, this noise is not unusual. If the refrigerator is not connected to water, turning the icemaker off should eliminate this noise. If the water is connected but the icemaker is knocking and not producing ice, check the water valve and lines, make sure that the refrigerator is not too cold which can cause the water lines to freeze, and check the filter to make sure it isn't clogged.

If these suggestions do not help to explain the knocking noise, I would suggest you visit the Troubleshooting Guide through the link below, then select "Troubleshooting ► Noise/Vibration" for additional explanations and troubleshooting suggestions: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

It's not unusual to have a small amount of frost in the freezer since each time the drawer is opened, warmer air enters carrying moisture that freezes on the cold surfaces inside the compartment. While Samsung freezers do have heaters in the walls that cycle on periodically to prevent frost build-up, this does not necessarily prevent the moisture from condensing on the packages or plastic bins. To help reduce the amount of frost on packages, keep the drawer closed as much as possible.

If you're experiencing more than just a small amount of frost, I would suggest reviewing the available troubleshooting articles on this topic through the link below to ensure the drawer is closing properly and the vents are not blocked: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If these steps do not help to resolve the issue, please use the link provided in the article to request service.

Question

Water/Condensation is freezing in the bottom of the refrigerator under the Fruit and Vegetable Drawers

Every few weeks I have to remove large sheets of ice from the refrigerator compartment. It appears to be originating Sometimes if I don't catch them in time the ice begins to melt during a defrost cycle and drip down into the freezer. The unit is less than 2 years old. The ice maker is not hooked up, so it is not related to any type of leak coming from there.
