Some noises a refrigerator makes are normal, and can often be minimized by making minor adjustments to the leveling or positioning of the refrigerator. I would suggest following the link below to open the Troubleshooting Guide, then selecting Operation > Refrigerator > Unusual Noises: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

The Troubleshooting Guide can help you to determine whether the noises you're hearing are normal or may require service.

The factors that can prevent the water dispenser from working properly would usually affect the icemaker as well. I would suggest reading through the Troubleshooting Guide by opening the following link, then selecting Water And Ice > Water to read the relevant article: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Is it possible that the icemaker appears to be working but is actually not making new ice and is only dispensing ice that was already made? If so, please try the solutions offered in the Troubleshooting Guide. If these solutions do not correct the problem, then your refrigerator may require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

If the water is not dispensing but ice is still being produced, please check the water line connection to the door dispenser that runs under the left door hinge cover, as illustrated on page 13 of the User Manual. Since you recently changed the water filter, you may need to bleed the air from the line by pressing the lever for an extended period. Be sure to press the Ice/Water button on the control panel until the Water icon is illuminated. Once water starts coming out, dispense 5-6 gallons to bleed all the air from the lines.

If this does not resolve the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with the water dispenser on your RF26XAEBP. There are several factors that could effect the water dispenser's operation; please check the following:
- Is the supplied water pressure at the recommended 20-125 psi?
- Is the water valve turned on all the way and the water line free of bends or kinks that could obstruct the flow?
- Is the water filter cartridge installed correctly, with the lock indicator marks aligned? If the filter was recently replaced, try bleeding air from the lines by dispensing 5-6 gallons of water.
- Is the water function selected on the control panel?
- Is Child Lock engaged? If so, deactivate it by pressing the Ice Off/Lock button for 3 seconds.
- Check the water line connection under the left door hinge cover as shown on page 13 of the User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

After checking all of the above, if the water still will not dispense, it is possible that your filter is clogged or partially clogged. Try removing the filter temporarily to see if the water will dispense. It may be necessary to press the lever for an extended period to bleed air from the lines. If the water dispenses without a filter installed, you'll need to replace the cartridge with a new one. If water still won't dispense, your refrigerator may require service. Please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear your crushed ice is not working. Sometimes ice can buildup inside the icemaker preventing ice from being crushed. Please visit the Troubleshooting Guide through the following link, then select "Water And Ice" > "Ice" > "Ice Maker Is Dispensing The Wrong Type Of Ice": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

This article illustrates how to check for ice buildup, which may allow you to correct the problem yourself. If this does not fix the problem, your RF26XAEBP may require service. Water condensing under the Cool Select Pantry Drawer occasionally and over time may be the result of normal condensation due to the higher humidity of the Twin Cooling system, or if it's accumulating rapidly it could be an indication of a leak that may require service to repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will likely require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The RF26XAEBP uses a cartridge water filter that is certified by the NSF (part #DA97-06317A; replacement model #DA29-00003G). For details about the certification, please refer to pages 36-37 of the User Manual which can be downloaded by clicking here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/d...

If your icemaker is turned on but your RF26X is either not connected to a water supply or the water cannot make it to the icemaker due to a clogged filter or obstructed supply line, this noise is not unusual. If the refrigerator is not connected to water, turning the icemaker off should eliminate this noise. If the water is connected but the icemaker is knocking and not producing ice, check the water valve and lines, make sure that the refrigerator is not too cold which can cause the water lines to freeze, and check the filter to make sure it isn't clogged.

If these suggestions do not help to explain the knocking noise, I would suggest you visit the Troubleshooting Guide through the link below, then select "Troubleshooting ► Noise/Vibration" for additional explanations and troubleshooting suggestions: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Question

Samsung RF26x-flap between french doors top post piece that attaches to door came off and I cannot slide the piece back over the square part on the do

I see the top and bottom posts have a plastic part below it on the flapper piece, that can make the piece move up, but I cannot get the smaller piece off below the middle post. Is there a trick, because I am starting to mark the piece up.

It's not unusual to hear the ice dropping, and the volume of this sound is likely to be louder when the bucket is empty. As the bucket fills, new cubes don't need to drop as far, and they're dropping onto other cubes rather than onto the plastic bucket, so there is less noise. If this noise is more disturbing to you at particular times of the day or night, I would suggest turning the ice maker off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel during those times. Be sure to turn the icemaker back on again, however, so you have a supply of ice when you need it.
