Question

How can I level my RF267aewp back to front dimension?

I have raised the front leveling legs to the point that the front rollers are firmly on the floor and the unit is still nearly 1/2 inch from level. (And it is not the floor!) Are there other remedies to level the unit further because in its current state the freezier door must be held open when putting items in or taking them out.

Thank you for the question. Samsung refrigerators are designed to lean back slightly to help the doors close and remain closed easier. To level the refrigerator so the doors do stay open on their own, you may need to place shims under the rear legs. Please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.

The filter indicator light on the RF267AEBP should be blue when you first install a new filter. The light will turn light pink after about 5 months to give you advance notice to order the replacement filter. At about 6 months, the light will turn red indicating it is time to change the filter.

The replacement water filter for model RF267AEBP is #DA29-00003B or the alternate #DA29-00003G which is available for purchase through samsungparts.com or by calling 800-627-4368. This filter is also available through most major retailers who carry Samsung refrigerators.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If ice is forming under the deli drawer, it's possible that your refrigerator temperature is set either too high or too low. Please adjust the temperature to 38°F, if necessary. The water that is freezing may be the result of condensation or it may be an indication of a leak that may require service to repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Frost in the freezer results from the moisture in warmer air condensing on the cold surfaces in the freezer. While a small amount can be normal if the freezer drawer is opened frequently and in very warm, humid environments, excessive frost can be caused by either the drawer not closing properly or by inadequate ventilation. I'm sorry to hear your water dispenser is not working. Please check the following:
- Is the Water function selected by pressing the button on the control panel?
- Is the supplied water valve turned on all the way?
- Is the supplied water pressure sufficient (20-125 psi is recommended)?
- Are there any bends or kinks in the water line?
- Is the refrigerator temperature set very low? If the fridge temperature is too low, it could freeze the water in the holding tank. Try raising the refrigerator temperature (38°F is recommended).
- Try checking the water line connection under the hinge assembly of the refrigerator door. If necessary, refer to the User Manual (page 13) for instructions. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

If, after trying these suggestions, you continue to experience this issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak to an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Thanks for the question. The allen wrench needed to remove or replace the door handles on the RF267AERS is size 3/32, which you can find at most home improvement or hardware stores. This is a different size than the 10mm wrench that comes supplied with the refrigerator. Please click on the link below then select "Usage ► How To ► How To Remove The Refrigerator Door Handles" for instructions: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your RF267AERS freezer. Please make sure there is nothing blocking the vents on the back of the freezer, and the drawer is closing securely so no cold air escapes. Try reducing the freezer temperature and select Power Freeze. If these steps do not help to resolve the issue, and if the refrigerator is cooling properly but the freezer is not, it will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The presence of moisture in the refrigerator is not an indication that it is not cooling enough, but rather that the humidity level is high enough to help keep fresh produce and other moisture-loving foods fresh longer, which is a key attribute of Samsung's Twin Cooling system. Now, on a separate note, if the refrigerator is not cooling enough, please try lowering the temperature or activate the Power Cool feature by pressing the Fridge button for 3 seconds. If it still isn't cooling properly, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

While it is important to use a water filtration system to prevent the buildup of mineral deposits or other debris from clogging the refrigerator's water lines, the RF267AERS dispenser should work without a filter cartridge installed. If you presently have a filter installed and the dispenser is not working, it is possible that the filter is clogged or partially clogged and needs to be replaced. Try removing the filter and dispensing water to determine if this is the case. If water still won't dispense after pressing the lever for several seconds (to allow air to pass through the line), try raising the refrigerator temperature. If the temperature is set too low, the storage tank or lines can freeze. The recommended temperature is 38°F.

Other factors that can prevent the dispenser from operating properly include insufficient water pressure or blockage in the water supply lines; or a break in the water line connection to the door dispenser. Check to make sure the water supply valve is turned on all the way, that there are no bends or kinks in the water line leading to the refrigerator, and check the water line connection located under the left door hinge cover. Instructions for removing the hinge cover and for connecting the water lines to the refrigerator can be found in the user manual.

If these suggestions do not help you resolve the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Question

The Front Panel Does not Display the Temperature Inside The Refrigerator

I have the RF267AERS/XAA. The front panel does not display the current temperature inside the refrigerator and freezer. When you press the button on the panel the display shows the temperature that the refrigerator and freezer are set at, but as supposed to, does not change to the current temperature inside. I tried unplugging but it does not fix the problem. Any other suggestions?

Thank you for the question. If you've just connected your RF267AERS/XAA, and the inside was not already cool, and the display does not blink to show the actual temperature after the desired one is set, then it may require service. However, once the refrigerator has cooled the actual temperature should be the same as the set temperature so you would not see it change back and forth. Also, please be aware that if your refrigerator is not functioning properly, unplugging it could clear any codes or history from the memory, making it more difficult for a technician to accurately diagnose the cause and find the solution. If you need further assistance, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to help.

I'm sorry to hear the water is dispensing very slowly from your new refrigerator. Samsung recommends a home's water pressure be set between 20 and 125 psi for optimum performance. At this pressure, a 6 ounce glass of water should fill in about 10 seconds. If your water supply is turned on all the way and there are no obstructions, and the water dispenses at the same rate with and without the filter, I would suggest having the pressure checked in your home. If yours is below 20 psi, then you may be able to get a pressure booster to help raise it. It's also worth noting that you may need to dispense as much as 5-6 gallons of water in order to bleed air from the lines after initially installing or replacing the filter.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your icemaker. Please try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker which should cause the tray to rotate then fill with the appropriate amount of water. Clean out the icebucket to remove any sheets of ice or cubes that are fused together, then reinsert the bucket ensuring that it locks securely in place. Check the opening on the bottom of the bucket that leads to the ice chute to make sure the flap is closed when not dispensing, then close the left door and check the seal between the ice chute and the bucket to make sure there are no leaks that could allow warm air into the bucket to melt the ice. If the seal is not tight, make sure the RF267 is level from left to right, adjusting the front leveling legs if necessary. It is also possible to raise the height of the left door to improve the alignment of the doors; instructions can be found in the user manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for your convenience.

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

There are several factors that can effect the ability of an icemaker to produce ice, including water supply, freezer and refrigerator temperatures, and control panel functions. Please check the following to ensure your icemaker is set up properly and to maximize production:
- Is the water connected, the valve turned on and hoses unkinked and free of obstruction?
- Is your home's water pressure between 20~125 psi? Under normal conditions, a 5.75 oz. glass can be filled in about 10 seconds.
- Is the refrigerator set at the recommended 38°F? If the refrigerator is too cold, the water lines could freeze.
- Is the freezer temperature cold enough? Samsung recommends setting the freezer at -2°F.
- Is the icemaker turned on? Make sure the Ice Off icon is not illuminated on the display.
- Is the control panel locked, which would prevent the dispenser from operating?
- Is the water filter installed properly and locked in place?
- Did you bleed the air from the lines by dispensing 5-6 gallons of water from the dispenser since installing the filter?
- Did you press the Test button on the icemaker to reset it?

The above tips should ensure your RF267AERS icemaker is ready to produce!

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RF267AEBP. Samsung refrigerators are equipped with on-board diagnostic systems to help technicians determine where a fault lies and how to repair it. Unplugging the refrigerator may clear the code, making it difficult to diagnose. I would suggest contacting 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Thank you,

The RF267AEBP has a self-defrosting freezer, so you should not need to defrost it if it is closing and operating properly. Please click on the link below to open the Troubleshooting Guide, then select Operation ► Freezer ► Frost in the Freezer for more information, and to request service if needed: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...
