Frost or condensation in the freezer can result from the moisture in warmer air condensing on the cold surfaces in the freezer. While a small amount can be normal if the freezer drawer is opened frequently and in very warm, humid environments, if the frost is melting then freezing as droplets, or if there is enough condensation accumulating then freezing, it is more likely that the drawer is not closing properly. One other possibility to consider is that something hot was placed inside the freezer on the top shelf, causing some condensation which froze as it dripped. Did you place anything hot in the freezer recently?
