The freezer does pull out as a drawer and the handle has a special action that breakes the suction of the freezer to help you open the drawer without moving the entire unit. The freezer drawer is a solid plastic unit and not just a wire basket.

Water filter model #DA29-00003B, and the newer #DA29-00003G version, both of which are compatible with the RF266ABRS, are available through samsungparts.com or by calling 800-627-4368. This replacement filter is also available through most major retailers who carry Samsung refrigerators.

The RF266ABRS is 54.5" deep from the back of the cabinet to the front of the handle with the freezer drawer fully extended. The depth with the refrigerator doors open 90-degrees is 47.8". It's also important to leave at least 1" behind this model (as well as .5" on each side and 1" on top) to allow sufficient air flow for the cooling system to work properly and most efficiently.

If it turns out that you don't have enough clearance for the RF266ABRS, perhaps you'd want to consider the RFG237AARS or RFG238AARS, both of which are counter depth French Doors, and require only 48.25" total depth, including 2" recommended clearance behind the unit, and taking into account the greatest depth with the freezer drawer fully extended.

I hope this helps. Thank you for considering Samsung!

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Frost or ice buildup in the freezer, as well as condensation, is likely caused by either the drawer not closing properly or by inadequate ventilation. Please click on the following troubleshooting link, then click on Operation > Freezer > Frost in the Freezer: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

After following the instructions provided, if you continue to have this issue please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you.

Online service request form: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/o...

When contacting Samsung for service, please provide the Samsung model and serial number which can be found on a sticker on the inside left wall of the refrigerator. The model number stated above (o4v5j3e4) may be your retailer's ID number, but it is not a Samsung model number.

The water from the dispenser of your RF266 refrigerator should be cool, but not ice cold. If the water is not cool, you may have used up the water in the refrigerator's reservoir, which holds about two liters.

I would suggest waiting 24 hours before dispensing water. If it still isn't cool, then your refrigerator may require service. Please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

What causes water to pool under deli drawer?

Question

How do I reattach a part that fell off my icemaker?

I'm sorry to hear ice is forming on the freezer and drawer. Please click on the link below then select "Troubleshooting ► > Freezer ► > Frost in the Freezer ► > Frost In The Freezer Due To The Freezer Door Not Closing Properly": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

This article provides instructions for reindexing the drawer rollers, which are kept aligned by the black metal index roller bar at the back of the rail. If the roller bar is not in place, or the door is not aligned, it could allow warm air in, which could then turn to ice on the cold surface of the freezer and drawer.

If this does not help to resolve the issue, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear your icemaker is not making ice. It isn't clear from your question whether water is coming out of the dispenser inside the refrigerator either. In either case, you may need to bleed air from the lines, which should be done each time the filter is replaced. To bleed the air, dispense about 5-6 gallons of water into a container, then press the Test button on the icemaker again. The tray should rotate to dump its contents into the bucket then fill with water. Some models require holding the button for as much as 8 seconds to initiate this process.

Other factors that can affect ice production include:
- Is the refrigerator set at the recommended 38°F? If the refrigerator is too cold, the water lines could freeze.
- Is the freezer temperature cold enough? Samsung recommends setting the freezer at -2°F.
- Is the feeler arm under the icemaker stuck in the "up" position, which would signal to the icemaker that the bucket is full and to stop making ice.

If this information does not help to resolve the issue, please submit your contact information through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If ice is forming under the Cool Select Pantry Drawer, it's possible that your refrigerator temperature is set either too high or too low. Please adjust the temperature to 38°F, if necessary. The water that is freezing may be the result of condensation or it could be an indication of a leak that would require service to repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will likely require service. Question

The minimum height listed inside the refrigerator is 68 5/8 inches. Your website lists the height as 70 inches. Is this the minimum recommended ?

My cabinet opening is only 68 3/4 heigh. Will the RF266 ABRS 26 c/ft refrigerator fit? If not, do you have a similar unit that would be more appropriate?

The 68-5/8" is the height without the door hinges; 70" is the height with the door hinges. Samsung recommends at least 1" of clearance above the refrigerator (as well as 2" behind and 1/2" on each side) to allow the cooling system to work properly, which also maximizes efficiency. I would suggest checking to see if there is a recessed area under your cabinets between the edges, which could allow sufficient room for air circulation.

Samsung recommends leaving 1" above, 2" behind, and 1/2" on each side of the RF266ABRS to allow sufficient air flow to enable the cooling system to work properly. Since the unit measures 35-3/4" (w) x 68-5/8" (h, without hinge) x 29-1/8" (d, without door), the recommended space for the RF266ABRS installation would be at least 36-3/4" (w) x 69-5/8" (h, behind hinges) x 31-1/8" (d, behind doors). For more details, please refer to page 8 of the User Manual. Thanks for the question!
