A few months ago the power went out and when it came back on the digital display wouldn't show the current temperature for fridge or freezer. I unplugged it for 10 min and still showed 88's.

How do I stop the leak under the cooling pantry?

There is a leak coming from a 'box' underneath the cooling pantry that sits at the back of the refrigerator, in the middle. I can not find out what this part is through the manual, nor does the troubleshooting guide provide much information. I have the Samsung French Door Model # RF265AB/RF266AB. This refrigerator is only 1.5 yrs old.

Water can pool on the bottom of the refrigerator, under the pantry drawer and vegetable compartments, due to condensation caused by doors being left open too long, for example. Thanks for the question. Though the compressor should come on and start cooling fairly quickly, it could take as long as 24 hours to reach the desired temperature. Factors influencing the speed of cooling include the difference between the set temperature and the room temperature, and whether warmer items were placed inside before the set temperature is reached.

If your refrigerator does not appear to be cooling, check to make sure it isn't on "demo" or "display" mode. The RF265ABWP should have a numeric temperature showing on the display. If it does not, and the letters "OF" are displayed there instead, then the refrigerator is in demo mode, meaning the cooling is off even though the lights are on. This is used for display purposes only. To enable cooling, simply press and hold the Power Freeze and Freezer buttons for 3 seconds, until you hear a chime.

Thank you for the question. It's not unusual to have a small amount of frost in the freezer of the RF265ABWP, since each time the drawer is opened, warmer air enters carrying moisture that freezes on the cold surfaces inside the compartment. While Samsung freezers do have heaters in the walls that cycle on periodically to prevent frost build-up, this does not necessarily prevent the moisture from condensing on the packages or plastic bins. To help reduce the amount of frost on packages, keep the drawer closed as much as possible.

Control panel not working?

The refrigerator is running fine except the control panel is not working. It displays all 8's and when the buttons are pressed nothing happens. The ice maker also is not working. Press the reset button and it will dump the ice and refill with water but never drops again until the reset is hit.

Please make sure the refrigerator is leveled properly from left to right by placing a carpenter's level on a shelf inside, and adjusting the front leveling legs as needed so the bubble is perfectly centered in the level. Samsung refrigerator's are designed to lean back slightly to help the doors close more easily. Once the doors have closed to within the radius of the Seal Tight "hook" at the top of the doors, the hooks should pull them closed the rest of the way. If yours are not, please make sure the doors are not overloaded with food. If the bins are very full, try removing a few items to determine if that is the cause.

The bottom of the refrigerator section(not the freezer) is full of water.

Fridge section is full of water, bottom freezer is dry. Water on the floor around the fridge. Ice maker working fine. No noticeable leaks inside, i.e. down the back of the unit. I found a small piece of ice in the water, round,-about the size of a soda can but only 3/8" thick. I suspect a drain is blocked or frooze. Don't know where to look but will shut off water to ice maker until I find the problem.

Ice maker is making blocks of ice, not seperating when they are coming out... How do I fix?

How can I get my icemaker to make ice?

The icemaker on my RF265abwp fridge has stopped working completely. The ice tray does not fill with water. I have repleaced the filter twice. The filter does fill with water, so the water is flowing into the fridge. When I puch the reset button the icemaker goes through the motions (the arm comes down and goes up, the ice tray rotates). Upper fan making noise due to ice in upper refreigerator

I have ice forming behind the shroud where the twin cooling medallion is in the upper refrigerator section. When the fan turns on it is making a noise due to it contacting the ice that has formed. I have emptied the fridge and am going to let the ice melt. I will further troubleshoot and clean condenser below.
