Thank you for the question. The icemakers in Samsung refrigerator-freezers are designed to produce about 120 cubes per day, but it can take up to 24 hours for the freezer to cool fully. I would suggest running a test on such a new unit prior to requesting service. To do so, simply empty the ice cube bin and wait 24 hours, then count the cubes.

) or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you.
If the freezer is producing 50 to 90 cubes per day, try setting the freezer to a lower temperature. The freezer should be set below 5°F for the icemaker to work properly, and the recommended setting is -2°F. Next, make sure your water valve on the refrigerator water supply line is completely open. If you have a water filter installed, try changing the filter.
