Yes, the stainless steel finish on the RB197ABRS matches Samsung's stainless steel electric ranges and over the range microwaves. There are many models to choose from, most of which can be viewed on this website. The electric ranges offer different combinations of convection ovens, warming drawers, and radiant and induction burners; over the range microwaves vary in size and venting power, as well as availability of features like convection baking/roasting and grilling within the microwave itself.

Thank you for considering Samsung!

Question

Can you put this refrigerator in a corner?

I would like to put this refrigerator at the end of a row of cabinets, but it will be next to a wall (in a "corner"); Can you tell me if there are side and rear clearances that I need to take into consideration? Also, the door would swing into the wall...how far past 90degrees open is needed in order to fully extend the veggie drawers?

The veggie drawers will extend fully with the door open 90-degrees; however, the door would need to open a bit more (approximately 110-degrees) in order to remove the drawer on the hinged side for cleaning, etc.

Samsung recommends leaving 1" on each side, 2" behind and 1" above the RB197ABRS to allow sufficient air flow for the cooling system to work properly. This will also enable the system to operate most efficiently, helping to keep energy costs down.

Thanks for the question!

The larger, bottom freezer drawer in the RB197ABRS is narrower at the bottom than the top, so it really depends on the depth of the tray you need to fit. To be sure it's going to meet your needs, I recommend visiting a store that has an RB197 in any color on display. Here are some basic measurements to give you an idea of the approximate size:

Bottom drawer: 21" (w) x 9" (d) at the bottom; 23" (w) x 13" (d) at the top
Top drawer: 24-1/2" (w) x 15" (d), with a little less than half of that area occupied by the removable icebucket.

I hope this helps!

On occasion, Samsung will run a promotion and feature it on the website, but this is rare and the time frame would usually be very specific. Our retail partners do run sales and discounts periodically, so you may want to sign up for their online newsletters to receive updates.

Yes, the refrigerator door on the RB197ABRS is reversible. Since the freezer on this model has a pull-out drawer, the question of reversing a bottom door is not an issue. However, if you prefer to have a swing door on the bottom, as well, you may want to consider the RB195, which does have reversible refrigerator and freezer doors.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If ice is forming under the drawers, it's possible that your refrigerator temperature is set either too high or too low. Please adjust the temperature to 38°F, if necessary. The water that is freezing may be the result of condensation or it could be an indication of a leak that would require service to repair. Try wiping up the water and waiting 24 hours. If water has accumulated there again by the next day, your refrigerator will likely require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.
