-4 degrees for the freezer and 38 degrees for the refrigerator. The owners manual can be downloaded right from this website. I downloaded mine before it refrigerator was even delivered so I could be ready and know what I needed to do before it was installed. Perhaps a bit more research is in order!!

I had this problem as well, and had to place a board under the back of the refrigerator to bring it to level. There is not a lot of adjustment for this refrigerator so be careful not to over extend the legs as they can be a bear to reattach.

answer 2
You can actually use the same left/right adjustment technique described in the instructions to raise or lower the front of the refrigerator, as needed. To adjust the legs, insert a flat-blade screwdriver into a notch on the left control lever, turning it clockwise to raise the refrigerator and counterclockwise to lower it; repeat this on the right control lever if necessary. Placing a leveling tool on top of the refrigerator will allow you to determine whether the unit is level from front to back as well as from side to side.

Question

freezer slide open or door type?

In the ad it shows this refridgerator w/ the freezer opening as a door type and also as a drawer. Is the drawer type an optional feature? If so, what is the extra charge. Where can I find pics of the inside of the freezer? Also, the ad is showing a black w/ a metalic corner detail. Is the metalic detail stainless, platnium or something else?

The RB195ABBP has a swing door-style freezer with two pull-out solid plastic bins inside. A different model, RB197ABBP, has a pull drawer freezer and two solid plastic storage bins. The current design is mono-chromatic. If the photos on this site appear to have stainless or platinum trim, it's probably just shadows and lighting.

I want to thoroughly clean between the glass shelf and plastic surround on all my shelves.

I do not want to soak it and believe it is clean I would like to see the groves the glass rests in to make sure I have cleaned it thoroughly. I'm very curious how the design of this allows for easy removal of the glass.

Question

What is the exact height without the hinges?

I have read varying height measurements (without the hinges) for this fridge from various retailers, including 68-1/4" on this site. This is very important, because the space I have is exactly 68-1/4" high from the ceramic floor to the bottom of a cabinet, where the rear half of the fridge would sit. This height cannot be adjusted, so I have to be certain the fridge will fit. I am willing to take the wheels off the fridge if that is possible. Are there any Samsung counter-depth refrigerators that are 68-1/4" or shorter? Are the wheels removable, or can I order one without wheels?

Thanks.

The RB195ABBP is 68-3/4" high without the hinges, 69-3/4" with the hinges. The front legs can be adjusted slightly for leveling, but the rear cannot. We do not recommend removing the legs/wheels since it is important to have some air flow on all sides of the unit, including 1" on each side, 1" above and 2" behind. None of Samsung's current model line-up is 68-1/4" high or less.

First the good news: the RB195ABPN is the model number for the Stainless Platinum (stainless look) version of the RB195, and the doors are reversible. The factory default is for the unit to be right-side hinged, but your retailer's delivery team should be able to switch it for you.

Samsung does not make the RB195 without the icemaker, but it can be turned off if you choose not to connect the water line, or if you don't want to use this feature.

To control the freezer temperature on the RB195ABBP, press the Freezer button on the control panel until the displays shows the desired temperature. The freezer temperature can be set in 2ºF intervals between -14ºF and 8ºF. Please refer to page 19 of the User Manual, which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website, for additional information.

Samsung refrigerator freezers should produce at least 120 cubes per day, which is in line with most manufacturer specifications. If your freezer is producing less than 120 cubes per day, try the following:
- Set the freezer temperature display to a lower setting. The freezer temperature must be 5º F (-15º C) or lower for the ice maker to work properly.
- Make sure that the water valve on the refrigerator water supply line is completely open. You can find the water valve where the refrigerator water supply line taps into your house water line.
- If you have an external water filter connected to your refrigerator, change the filter cartridge.

If you want your freezer to produce more than 120 ice cubes in a day, try the following:
- An ice maker typically makes 1 tray of ice every 90 minutes. To shorten the amount of time the freezer takes to produce a tray of ice, press the Power Freeze button to speed up the ice making process. In the Power Freeze mode, both the compressor and the freezer fan run for 10 hours continuously. The ice making interval is reduced from 90 minutes to 55 minutes. If the ice bucket fills in less than 10 hours, Power Freeze stops automatically.
NOTE: If you have just installed your refrigerator, it could take up to 24 hours for the refrigerator to produce ice. You should throw away the first three batches of ice cubes that the ice maker produces (approximately 30 cubes) to flush the "plastic" taste from the water line.

Thank you for the question!

The RB195ABWP (the same model in white) is in the process of transitioning to the upgraded RB195ACWP which will feature LED lighting in both the refrigerator and freezer. Please contact your local retailer for the most up to date information on availability, or use the "Where to Buy" tool on this website to find a retailer. If at first the search does not return the desired results, please check back periodically as distribution information is updated frequently.

Question

I am considering the purchase of RB195ABBP refrigerator/freezer for a pharmacy to store refrigerated and frozen medications.

The refrigerator must be kept between 35 and 46 degrees F. The freezer must be maintained at 5 degrees F or below. How reliably would this unit perform in maintaining this temperature range? A time sensitive decision must be made, your prompt response would be appreciated.

While Samsung refrigerators have an excellent reputation for reliability and performance, the RB195ABBP is a consumer product and I can't speak to its performance in a commercial environment. The refrigerator temperature can be set in 2ºF intervals between 34ºF and 46ºF; the freezer temperature can be set between -14ºF and 8ºF, also in 2ºF intervals.

Question

How do I get the freezer door to seal properly?

The freezer door (bottom freezer, swing-out door) is not sealing properly. There is a gap on the top of the door where the door seals against the cabinet. Warm air is coming in and frost is forming. I can easily slip a piece of paper through the gap.

How do I fix this gap? The refrigerator is brand new and the gasket is not dried out and it is not dirty.

This unit has had the doors reversed, but the process went smoothly.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your RB195ABBP. I would suggest you check the leveling of the refrigerator, since this is one possibility for the door not sealing properly. Using a carpenter's level, check both front to back and side to side leveling making the necessary adjustments to the front leveling legs using a flathead screwdriver inserted between the plastic ridges to turn the legs. If this does not resolve the issue, then your refrigerator will likely require service to determine and correct the cause of the problem.

I get water buildup in both of my crisper drawers..is that because of the styrofoam...should that have been removed? A lot of condensation and slow ice production

Thanks for the questions. The styrofoam behind the back panel of the refrigerator is supposed to be there. It is also normal for there to be some moisture and condensation inside the refrigerator due to the Twin Cooling system. If water is collecting in or under the drawers of your RB195ABBP, it may be an indication of a leak that will require service to repair. Please try wiping up the water, then wait 24 hours. If water has accumulated again, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

To maximize ice production, make sure the freezer temperature is cold enough; the recommended temperature is between -2°F and -4°F, but can be set even colder. You can also use the Power Freeze option on the control panel, and minimize the amount of time the drawer is open. Make sure the supplied water pressure is 20~125 psi, and try resetting the icemaker by pressing the test button on the bottom of the icemaker.

Question

Why is water leaking into the veggie drwers, and how do I fix it?

Water is dripping down the back lower vents to the bottom of the fridge half filling the drawers with water causing mold. My ice maker is off because I can't attach it where I rent, it's always turned off. I can't afford a new fridge because I am still paying this one off. Please help

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. The water could be the result of condensation or it may be an indication of a leak that will require service to repair.
