As a matter of fact, although the PS3 does not offer HDMI 1.4 for full resolution 3D playback, the PS3's 3D system should still be compatible with the Samsung 3D TVs.

Yes you will be able to do so. You will need a 3D capable HDMI and not just a basic HDMI cable. I too play my Ps3 and Xbox 360 on it, it looks very nice. I think you would be very happy with it for the Ps3.

I know this isn't part of the question, but when you hookup your Ps3 with the correct HDMI cable, the Ps3 will go through a display setup(You may need to go to the Display Setting menu) and it will recognize the TV and ask for screen size to correctly setup the display for 3D.

Yes, using an HDMI Cable, go to display config on the PS3 and choose automatic. The PS3 will detect that the TV is 3d, then just start playing a 3d-compatible game.

yes, but if you pause your game it will scracth your tv. for some reason it is not recommened for game use even though you can go online with the tv but for that you have to buy the applications and you have to but the keyboard. if you pause the game you will notice that there will be black markes or spot on your tv that you can't get rid of. so yes you can play games on it but not a wise choice......

The 3D can be toggled on/off.
It can also turn 2D in to 3D.

it cannot turn standard definition things in to high definition things. Watching a normal TV station will not be turned into a HD station just because you own this TV. no TV can do that and that is why you MUST have HD channels that are playing HD programs.

Question

Will 720P work with BlueRay 3D Movies?

I won't be able to confirm the Blueray part until the PS3 gets its 3D Bluray update in September, but this Thursday I will be able to comment about the 3D games. I believe based on what I have read that this TV will do both just fine. In one article talking about this set it says that it can scale 1080p content down to 720p, meaning that if your 3D Bluray can only operate in 1080p mode the TV can compensate, and at that point the 3D effect will be only a matter of refresh rates. Onto the gaming issue, if you google ps3 3d stuck at 720p you can read how HDMI 1.3 (PS3) only supports 3D at the 720p resolution so I doubt there will be a problem there.

answer 2
It works just fine with any 3d movie or game, in fact most xbox and ps3 games are only 720p anyway. Look on the back of the package and game resolution is listed. The 720p resolution only affects how the picture is displayed, not what content is can accept. I've seen 720p and 1080p next to one another and unless you sit greater that 10' from the television, you really don't notice the difference.

Actually, 1080p will display on a 720p screen because it is backward compatible.

The only difference is that the picture quality (clarity) will be reduced since 720p has less pixels.

3D works fin in 720p on this HDTV.

Yes this TV will play 3D movies & Games, hence why it is 3D.

Are all 3D TV's supposed to come fully equipped with 1080P? I don't know. What I do know is that on top of the four basic definitions we all know of (480i, 720P, 1080i, 1080P), when they created 3D, it appears to me that they secretly created TWO MORE DISPLAYS, including 720p(3D enabled) and 1080P(3D enabled) this leaves:
480i
720p
1080i
1080p
720p3D
1080p3D

This of course may be untrue, but from what I've researched on other 3D TV's of different brands makes and models, this appears true to me.
