my samsung 450 plasma 50 wont recieve dtv

i can get dtv over antena but not over my basic cable. Is there anyway i can program my tv to see the dtv while using basic cable?

You should be able to pick up "some" digital signals with basic cable. Just hook it up and do a "channel scan" and the TV should find all the available stations available. If you are a Comcast user you may need one of their little digital converter boxes.

you need to get the firmware .BIN file from this site. then place it on a thumbdrive/USB and get to menu. Once the thumb drive is inserted, go to menu, scroll down to support, then choose software upgrade. the TV will search for the thumb drive and file and do it automatically.

would hooking up HD cable cause video problems?

I used the tv for an hour this morning and everything was fine. This afternoon when I turned it on all I got was audio and a blank screen. All the connections are in properly. We had no cable service hooked up on sat but tv has worked fine since then up until today. I dont even get a sound bar when I increase volume and changing the souce has no affect. Tv is only one year old and a 2010 model

The red off light is displayed, when the "on given the on command it clicks once, the red light goes off the it clicks twice more and the red off light comes right back on.

In order to access Captioning, you will want to head into the TV's menu, then into the setup or system sub-menu to access the CC options or to just activate it, press the CC button on the remote control. However, CC is only available via the coax cable since the CC signal has to be sent by your service provider. The CC information cannot be sent via HDMI or other secondary connections from 3rd party devices. That said, most service provider set top boxes and DVD/BD players will handle CC on board, which will then be displayed on the TV as part of the video signal. Captions are subject to your service provider’s availability.

This TV has a USB connection on the side. You'll need a cable that hooks to your camera and has a USB connection on the other end to connect to the TV. You can also download the pictures on your camera to a computer and then upload those to a USB drive, and then plug the USB drive into the TV.

More than likely the cable that came with your camera should work fine.

I have red dots that sow through the black in the picture. How do I remove this?

When the picture is moving, the red pixels do not show. When the image is still they appear. Generally they appear in the same position on the screen.

Unfortionately you cant. Its the way the tv was manufactured. To get a 120hz tv you just have to upgrade.

You will want to connect the game system's RCA composite or component RGB cables to the TV's component/composite combination input using the supplied adapters (the audio red and white cables will go into the appropriately colored inputs; however, the yellow video cable will go into the green video input for a composite connection). Starting on Page 9 of the user's manual, you should be able to find more instruction on how to make these connections on your TV.

Sometimes I will get a 4:3 gray transparent flash on the screen.

Doesn't happen all the time but when it does it will stay on the screen for a second then disappear. Will happen about every 10 minutes or so. But again not all the time.
