Question
Can this monitor work with a VGA connection?
My laptop only has a VGA port. The cable with the monitor is not VGA, and the ports in the monitor are marked DVMI IN and HDMI IN, Can I use an adapter or something to be able to use this monitor with my laptop?

I believe VGA and RGB are referred to as the same. If your manual also refers to it as a DB-15 or D-Sub it is. Look at the RGB end of the cable (the smaller (and or) blue end) and see if it is similar to the laptops.
Did you try the DVI-A (monitor end) to RGB cable (computer end) included with the monitor? You have two cables with the monitor, one DVI-I to DVI-I cable and a DVI-A to RGB cable. The DVI-A end is used for the RGB type connections as the other pins are only needed on a digital system.
The DVI connectors are different so you have to know which ones you have as a DVI-I male connector won't mate with a DVI-D because -I- has more pins. But a -D- male will mate to a female -I-. Yeah I'm having a hard time keeping up also.
This monitor has a DVI--I female connection so you would need a DVI--I or DVI-A male cable or adapter end for the monitor and a RGB male cable or adapter end for the laptop. You might also find an HDMI to RGB cable or adapter also but I would try the DVI-I to RGB first.
You might try going to Samsung's support area again (or your laptops company's) and put in a "ticket" to ask them directly for a faster more accurate answer. I think this is just a public type forum. You might also try a local PC repair shop and they should know also (take the laptop in with you).
There is a small adapter that converts VGA to DCMI. good to know that it is very cheap!

If it's like the P2570 MONITOR then you adjust it by holding down the Base with one hand then push the top of the monitor backwards the amount you want.
My monitor functions perfectly when used with my Playstation 3 but when i plug it into my computer (HDMI) it will turn off for a second or two, then come back on for 9 or 10 seconds, then turn off again for a second or two and repeats this process. How can i solve this?
Thanks

Well, it looks like your in the wrong area for one, this is for the P2570. Try hooking it up to the DVI/RGB connection and see if it still does it. Have you tried to "Reset" back to the default information and see if that helped? If your 23" has the same menu as the 25" then it sounds like the display MIGHT be looking at ALL the display connections for the monitor. It should stop after the 3rd or 4th time if the display is setup for "Auto Source". If you can set it to "Auto Source/Manual" (PC) then it should look at the PC connector first and stop. If it's not that then it sounds like either the Power supply is going bad or something inside. Contact Samsung/Support and they should have a lot more info.
When I start the monitor, I always get a message "no time information."
I can't find instructions on how to "set the time." Please tell me how to do it. Other than that, I really enjoy the monitor. Thank you.

Time can be set automatically by digital TV stations. Sounds like you need to change the time to be set manually in the setup menu.

CC should work for over-the-air reception but cable or movies will have to be configured from the cable box or dvd/blue ray player menus (there is no CC to decode over HDMI or composite signals)

What makes you think it's not the Power Supply? Have you tested for power at the plugin END of the cord after it shuts off? Does it shut off instantly after you turn it on? If it shuts down after a few minutes could the "Timer" be set up by mistake? Or it might have set it self up. Have you tried resetting it back to the default settings? In the Menu go to the "Setup&Reset" option. If none of those work then I would contact Samsung/support and see if they have anymore answers. It may be defective.
I have windows 7 and samsung monitor P2570. How do I download the correct driver and how do I make multiscreen work?
I have followed your download instructions, but when I go to device manager, all I see is the generic plug and play driver. I keep going in circles.

you can get the driver from samsung pretty easily with a few search queries. To make multi screen work you have to go through your graphics card interface. usually right click desktop and you can find a control panel for your graphics card. you should be able to find something telling you to detect muliple screens.

Question
why doesn't my 3 extra months of warranty show up?
I need service on my monitor, I registered it and was informed that I would get 3 extra months of warranty for registering it. When I go online to request service, it shows it is out of warranty. What should I do to get service on my monitor?

Question
How / Where can I purchase a replacement box and box components for this product (P2570)?
I purchased this product from a reseller and was so excited when it came in, I ripped up the box, threw it away and setup the monitor. A couple days later I noticed the monitor's front fascia casing was cracked and needed to return it to the reseller. Unfortunately, there is no longer a box to send back the product. I plan on sending this one back and getting the bigger sister (the 27") b/c if it poses half of the color richness and brightness of the 24.6" I will be very pleased. Please let me know if this is something I can purchase from you.

Question
Is the P2570 a coherent or non-coherent display?
MiniMac Original supports coherent display up to 154MHz; supports non-coherent digital displays up to 135MHz. At 1920x1080, the P2570 pixel clock is 148.5 Mhz. If the P2570 is non-coherent, is this why the MiniMac will not detect the monitor with the digital cable, but will with the analog cable?

Question
What can I do if my monitor keeps turning off.
I am using a geforce 9800G graphics card running off of a 650w power supply. My SyncMaster P2570HD continues to shut itself off automatically. I believe the problem is with a faulty power supply. the monitor is around the cutoff for the warranty but I don't really know the exact date it was purchased because my father purchased it.
