Thank you for contacting Samsung. You can purchase the VG-KBD1500, as its the Samsung Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
I've a Smart PC 510T tablet with matching keyboard dock. When docked, if the screen wiggles even in the slightest Windows8 plays its little "device lost" sound, immediately followed by the "device found" sound as the tablet stabilizes in the dock. With any kind of active use, the keyboard drops in and out continually because of this apparently loose connection between the tablet and the keyboard. What's to be done?

Samsung should acknowledge this as a hardware issue!
I used strips of thick 3M tape to take up the slop in the fit between the dock and tablet. This fixed the problem completely proving that this is not a driver or software issue.
Thank you for contacting Samsung. This sounds like it may need a driver update. Compatible drivers for Windows 8 may be obtained by using the update program here: http://orcaservice.samsungmobile.com/SWUpdate.aspx
Based on our research, we do not anticipate that connecting this Samsung external optical disc drive to your Samsung notebook computer will be an issue.
At random times when I have the keyboard plugged into the Samsung 500T the keyboard will disconnect. I have made sure the keyboard is well seated and locked in. It even does this on a flat surface.

Parts cannot be ordered, but if you have the original receipt from purchase or the keyboard was included with a TV purchase, you can file a service request to have it serviced.

Is the USB external drive being correctly identified and can it be used with the device you have it plugged into, despite the the loose connection? With the power off, we recommend disconnecting the cable and attempting to plug it back in fully.
If recently purchased, you might consider returning to the store for an exchange as long as none of your personal data has not already been copied to the device. If the faulty connection is on the external drive itself and it's still under its 12-month parts/labor warranty, Samsung can service the device. You'll be asked to register the device first, as doing so will extend the warranty coverage for an additional 3 months at no additional cost.
why the the button for the sound ,f6 to mutet don't work
when I try to mute the sound in the keyboard the button don't work it's work on the F7 the one to lower the sound, and F8 is working as the lower volume, so all the button for volume sound are mix, is no button to put the volume up on the key board, all are wrong.

Is there any way to get this AA-RD7NMKD keyboard to work with the Samsung Slate 7 series tablet?
I read the Samsung Slater Series 7 was supposed to have a detachable keyboard... I cant find one anywhere. Now right after I bought my Slate 7 they come out with a new line of PC's with detachable keyboards. I am still under warranty but cant return to NewEgg because its over 30 days. Really wanted the detachable keyboard functionality.

Why does my keyboard not securely connect with my tablet?
My keyboard and tablet constantly disconnect while I'm using them in laptop formation. There is a beeping sound as they disconnect and then reconnect, and this happens very often.

We have spoken with our resident tablet expert and he said since external HDDs and optical drives are high-powered USB devices, your tablet does not have the capability to properly power it. You can use USB flash drives that are formatted in FAT32 and less than 32GB in size though.
With little or no effort, I have run out of space on my hard drive. What can I do?
I only use the Windows side of the tablet and have only installed a couple programs. I only have about 5 gig left on the hard drive. Is my hard drive able to be upgraded or is there stuff that was preloaded on it that I can deleat to make more room?

We're a bit confused by what product you're using. The product you specified is an external optical disc drive, yet you mention a tablet. We recommend you email us at qasupport@sea.samsung.com. Please provide a brief description of your issue, product model and serial number and your contact info.
I have a Series 7 Slate XE700T01-04US. Right away I upgraded it to Windows 8. Was it right to upgrade?
Considering this model is made to be a Windows 7 PC what are the pros and cons to the change to Windows 8. Also my home button has never worked and I assume that is due to the change also. I tried to download some of the drivers for my model but they are all meant to be for Win 7. Should I find the drivers for 8? What should I do? Also I would really like to get an attaching keyboard to turn it into a laptop. Is there any compatible products?

I purchased an Ativ 500 tablet back in October, and I got the separate keyboard as soon as they were available. The problem is that the keyboard constantly disconnects when the tablet is docked.
I've seen a few mentions of this problem here and on other forums, and I've tried every solution I've found. Nothing works. - I've made sure the BIOS, drivers, and software are all up to date. - I've made sure the connections on the tablet and the dock are clean and free of any debris. - I've followed suggestions on correctly placing the tablet in the dock: hold the lock button down while you put the tablet in, make sure the tablet is securely in, etc.
While investigating the issue, I talked to sales people at stores who said their customers don't have this problem, and it seemed like their tablets fit a little tighter in the dock than mine does. I checked to make sure I didn't get the 700/Pro dock by accident, but the 700 tablet doesn't fit in this dock. I've even tried "shimming" it with a folded piece of paper. Some sites have suggested two-sided tape, but I wanted to try a removable shim until I knew it worked--it didn't.
Some other, not necessarily related observations: - I've noticed that the right side of the docking hinge moves about 1/4 inch back and forth while the left side has no give at all. The keyboard has not been dropped or damaged that I know of. -Even when the keyboard is disconnected, the "connect" light on the front stays on. - I can't even use the dock for the power and USB connections, because the disconnect/reconnect chime is constantly sounding.
Any other suggestions I could try? I've been troubleshooting this issue for months with no luck. The keyboard dock was a big factor for me in choosing this tablet, and I'm at a complete loss!

I can't register my KB dock on your site because I can't find the SN, and your site doesn't help me to find it. Can you help tell me where the SN is on the unit, so I can register it?

According to our resident tablet specialist, there is no serial number printed on the keyboard dock, so it cannot be registered.
