Questions & Answers for samsung 5.8 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range (White)

Question

What kind of control does the oven have, touch or membrane

we just had our new range installed and are having trouble getting the oven controls to respond. Do we have to press hard on the controls to get them to function or will just simple contact operate the control. Is there some kind of sequence you have to follow to turn the oven on and set the temperature? Some of the functions work some of the times and not at others.

It's definitely not a touch screen. You do have to push. I have had no problems with mine but I'm a manual reader even though I've been cooking for over 50 years. (Yikes!) if you push bake or convection bake and start it will automatically heat to 350. If you want 400, push bake or conv bake, 400 then start. It will show you the target temp then change to 150 and show the current temps as it heats. The alert sounds when it gets to the chosen cook temp. HTH.

I find that you have to press in exactly the right spot to have the controls work. Only thing that I am not crazy about. Love everything else about it.
