Question

Firmware update - NX20 model not supported

I use Intelli-Studio v3.1.26.1 to upgrade the firmware of my new NX 20 camera. When I click on "upgrade firmware on the connected device" I received this error : "This model is not supported"

Suggestion or solutions?

I follow the exact instructions step by step 5 times and I received the same error from Intelli-Studio : This model is not supported.

Intelli-Studio version : 3.1.26.1 (last upgrade available)
Camera : NX20

It appear that the software don't recognize this specific model.

I follow those steps:

1. Connect your camera to your PC. Intelli-Studio will pop up.
Note: Intelli-studio version 3.0 or higher is required.

2. After intelli-studio pops up, mouse over and click Web Support.
Note: If a memory card is not in your camera the Web Support option will not appear.

3. Select Upgrade firmware for the connected device.

4. A pop up will appear. After intelli-studio connects with the Samsung Server the latest firmware version will appear in the pop up window.

At this step no. 4 : a popup appear saying that this model (nx20) is not supported.

Finally, after contacting chat support, you have to download the zip upgrade file, unzip it and transfer it at the ROOT level of the your SD memory file into you camera.
Instructions file is at the same directory of the firmware file.

Don't use IntelliStudio as I did. It doesn't work.

Question

NX100 & NX20: video mode not supported with manual lenses

When i updated the firmware for NX20 camera, the camera returns a "check lens" error when a manual lens is mounted to the camera in video mode. This occurs on both NX100 and NX20 of latest firmware (1.10 for nx20).
Curiously enough, the initial firmware for NX20 allowed video mode to operate normally with manual lens or lens adaptor installed.

(I use a Samsung NX mount adaptor MA9NXK to be used with DSLR samsung lenses, and Samyang manual lens)

I think this is an important error that need to be fixed, how do you bypass the error message?

We recommend you refer to page 135 in your product manual. On that page are instructions on how to update the firmware. You'll need to make sure the camera is connected to your computer via USB, download the file and then refer to your product manual. If your product manual is not handy, please open the link below and scroll to page 135.

Question

How to repair/restore an incompletely processed video file

I was shooting video of a friend's wedding when my NX-20 locked up. I could not end the video, and I could not turn off the camera, so I removed and replaced the battery. I have a 921 mb video file that I cannot open or read, because the camera did not finish processing it. Is there a way that I can complete the processing and make the video file usable?
