Question

Installing the newest Samsung Recovery Solutions 5

I tried to install this program using the SW update program. After about a minute I received an error saying there is no Recovery Partition on my hard drive.

There was a partition from the original Recovery Solution. I tried to fix this by deleting that partition and making a new one that was now empty. This did not change the error message I received when trying to install.

What should I do?

Missing mic in devices

I think I managed to delete my microphone from the devices list. Now I have no mic (can't use skype). How do I add the mic back?
I tried to go to device manager and find new devices, but that did not work.

In the Device Manager, click on ‘Audio inputs and outputs’. Then click Action and select ‘Scan for hardware changes.’

What is the difference between N900X3AB01-US and N900X3AB01-UB as it relates to the installed bluetooth receiver?

I upgraded to win 8 and am unable to update the bluetooth driver. I have used SW update and S service to no avail.

Question

Series 9 NP900X3C-A03US Touchpad completely useless

Just got a Series 9, was very keen to try it, great laptop but I'm shocked how could you launch this with such a useless touchpad. The driver is completely buggy. I'm not even talking about gestures, just the simple control of the cursor is a total challenge.

Please tell me you're going to fix this soon, or I'll return this laptop and buy something that actually works.

Question

AC Jack Pin Too Far Back to Make Connection

Hello! My Samsung 900X has been working fine. Then this morning, I noticed the AC adapter cable was falling out of the AC jack/plug. I tried both of my AC Adapters and the problem continued.
Peering into the plug, it appears the pin is suddenly too far back to make a connection.
Needless to say, my battery is now dead because I cannot charge.

1 - this is a hardware problem so I'm not sure what to do
2 - the machine is out of warranty, but apparently Samsung doesn't have any authorized service centers near San Francisco

Suggestions on my next steps? I need, amongst other things, some files on this computer, if not the actual computer.

How can I get past the Windows 8 upgrade error?

how do i turn off the display when i connect to external monitor?

I've been playing with the function buttons on f1-f12 but can only see the display button that will either create a duplicate view or turn off my external monitor only. I want to turn off my laptop monitor when using my external monitor.

Question

Why does Bluetooth fail after waking up from sleep n Windows 8?

I recently installed Windows 8 Release Preview on my NP900X3A. I got all of the drivers installed and everything works nearly perfectly, except for Bluetooth. If I "sleep" the computer by closing the lid, Bluetooth is not available after waking up. It usually takes a couple of shutdown/restart cycles to get it back.

Has anyone else seen this behavior and have any ideas about fixing it?

installing windows 8 Enterprise

when installing windows 8 on the 900X I got an error when files expand, error is error code:0x80070570.I try to redoanload the iso, with same result, I update the bios to 03WE but no effect.
