This is a one piece adapter. The cord is NOT separate, unlike what it says at samsungparts.com. This may have been corrected by the time you read this.

Please note that Doraga is wrong. You need to buy BA44-00278A and 3721-001184. I have the former and it does NOT include the U.S. plug (3721-001184). That part is back-ordered.

I have a Series 9 notebook. I want to keep the power on when I close the lid. Changing the power settings in the control panel is disabled. Please tell me how to do it through other means. My knowledge of computers is high. I just need the directions.

Not sure what you want the power on for when you close the lid. Maybe so the chargeable USB work continues to work? There a fair amount here http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/pop_troubleshooting.jsp?ia_cd=N0000137&model_name=NP900X3A about Power Settings.

I have read that you can turn off fast start and then the stay on when lid is closed selection will be available by typing fast start in the search menu. However on my machine it doesnt come up??? yes I want to use HDMI out and a remote keyboard and mouse when I am at my desk.

you have to go turn 'fastboot' off from samsung settings, then ull be able to choose 'do nothing' uder power management,, under 'choose what to do when lid closes'

Actually, part number AA-AH0NAMB/US shows to be for the VGA dongle.

If you've tried everything here http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/pop_troubleshooting.jsp?ia_cd=N0000137&model_name=NP900X3A especially the "Weak Wireless Signal", you need to call Samsung Tier 2 Support (800.726.7864) and explain it to them.

Mine has the same problem and Samsung are sending me a shipping label so I can send it in for servicing. They have not explained what they will do.

Although I've not yet fixed my computer, I have determined that the root cause is almost certainly a hardware issue related to plugging a monitor into my Series 9 computer. I get speeds 5x-10x faster when no monitor is plugged vs when a monitor is plugged in. It does not seem to matter which monitor is connected (including a new Samsung monitor); nor whether using VGA or HDMI. The monitor must be on though to cause the problem.

Do you have a screensaver enabled. The display will only turn off if the laptop is idle.

I have not encountered any problems. Your touchpad may be defective but the first thing to do is install the updated touchpad driver from Samsung. Ignore the old date that they have published -- you want driver v15.3.6.0

Battery not charging on Series 9 notebook

I have a series 9 notebook, 11 inch. The battery will not charge. Leave it plugged in, says 100% charged, but as soon as you take the power cord off it shuts down. Anyone else have this problem or have any thoughts?

I need help entering sign on password with a foreign keyboard

Hi,
I have purchased the NP900X1A in Minneapolis and brought it home to Norway. A small issue when buying the PC was the US keyboard when I need a Norwegian keyboard. Having used US keyboard for several years with software defined Norwegian keyboard, I did not expect any problem with the keyboard.
After defining keyboard to Norwegian through Region Setting in Windows, I also defined a password to my Windows account. My password includes Norwegian characters, and I had no problem entering and confirming the password. However, when signing onto the computer this morning, I find that I no longere can enter the Norwegian characters, and therefore cannot sign on to my the computer.

Can you therefore help me with:

1. set keyboard to Norwegian before I enter the password?
2. enter the ascii code in the password?
3. reset the password?

I need a new ac adapter (2 of them) for my Samsung Series 9 11.6 inch laptop (NP900X1a). How do I order them--as soon as possible?

I dropped my new Samsung Series 9 laptop, and it fell on the connection to the AC adapter, bending it beyond repair (and likely breaking the connection). I was unable to use it thereafter. The computer works find without AC power, but I need the adapter ASAP to continue my work.

for the Samsung Series 9 900X1A-A01, 11.6" laptop - will the micro HDMI to VGA cable drive a LCD projector?

Sure the micro HDMI to VGA cable accesory exists, but does it actually WORK when hooked up to an analog LCD or LCD projector. Believe that the HDMI digital signal actually needs to be converted to an analog signal for this to work. A cable alone will not do this. Has anyone really tried to use the accesory cable to run an external LCD display or a LCD projector? Thanks.

Right-Click My Computer, select Manage, select Disk Management. From the list you can select your partition you wish to expand or shrink. Select whichever you wish to do and choose a size.

I did this anytime upgrade myself. Do you have still have the Recovery Partition? You may want to restore the S9 back to original and do the anytime upgrade again.

In Windows, go to the 'Mouse' settings in the Control Panel. Click on the 'Device Settings' tab (it has a red Synaptics logo on it. Under the list of Devices, there is a check-box labeled 'Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached'. Check that box and then click 'Apply'.
