No, your battery will last longer if it charges to only 80%.

I think I figured it out!! if you have a Samsung Easy Settings go into that and look at Battery Life Extender. If it's on then your computer will never charge more than 80%. When you want it to charge to 100% just turn it off. Let me know if that works for you.
Thank you for contacting Samsung. There are a number of 3rd party solutions that can provide this functionality. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
Can someone help me and tell me what I need to do to fix this issue?
The problem is with my screen. Half of my screen is tinted pink, you can still see and read everything underneath its just a color issue. When you use it for more than 20 minutes or so the color will change to a teal-ish color instead of pink. You can still read everything but the colors are distorted, once you hit the mid screen where the pink/teal tint is red turns to yellow, green to brown. When you use the camera feature and do a screen capture the issue is not there, so its just with the screen that I see. I tried researching online about how to fix it, to see if there was anything I can do myself but I have not seen anyone with the same exact problem as i am currently having. Help would be greatly appreciated, I know I'm really inexperienced and I need this computer for school, so thank you in advance.

We recommend you make sure your laptop has the latest video driver. While you may have the option of updating the video driver via Windows Update (which can be accessed by clicking Start > All Programs > Windows Update or via the Control Panel), you also can look on the product support page below. Once open, just click on Manuals & Downloads > Driver and look for the VGA driver with the latest release date.
If the issue persists, you will need to file a service request to have the unit inspected.
How do I downgrade my series 3 from Windows 8 to Windows 7
I have a new series 3. It came with Windows 8. Many of my apps do not work with Windows 8 so I want to downgrade to Win7. I've tried, it starts copying some files, then just quits. The article on the support page is blank. Can someone point me in the right direction?

When you refer to drivers for this product, do you mean samsung specific drivers or other windows/application drivers. This machine is vanilla out of the box.

You can downgrade by following these instructions:
sometimes the cursor moves unexpectedly -- I guess I touch the touch pad and don't even realize
also, sometimes, I "select" options by accident without clicking teh mouse button -- very confusing for me

Thank you for your question. There is way to reduce the sensitivity of the touch pad. Here is a guide for that very issue: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=409079&modelname=NP300E5AI
This notebook comes standard with 4GB of RAM (memory) and can support up to 8GB. With two slots, that means each slot would accommodate a 4GB stick of memory. If you've got 6GB, then one slot most likely has a 4GB stick and the other has a 2GB stick.
You can run this memory scanner tool on your notebook and it will identify the type and size of memory in each slot.

All available drivers for your Samsung notebook computer can be downloaded from the link below. Once open, just click on Manuals & Download > Drivers. They may not be labeled exactly as you have specified since the first two are generic driver identifiers, but they are all there.

Your notebook comes pre-configured with a hidden recovery partition to help facilitate a recovery if necessary. The Samsung Recovery Solution contains the appropriate operating system (Windows XP/Vista/7) that came preinstalled on the notebook, but you will need to pull up the product support page for any drivers or system software.
I frequently receive software upgrades from Samsung. I accept the message to download and install. The download typically goes well but most of the time, the installation fails. Suggestions?

The past few weeks I've been having problems with my touchpad mouse not working after the computer has been in hibernation overnight. I thought the problem was because of , so I uninstalled that update and everything was fine again. But today the same thing came up again. I checked my system restore points and nothing has been installed, except Windows Defender updates. I already checked the drivers and the mouse drivers aren't set to hibernate. Anyone else having this problem? It's getting frustrating having to restart the computer.

The Microsoft Windows hibernation mode has always been a fickle feature. Especially when used with notebook computers. This issue is not limited to Samsung computers, nor is it limited to the operation of a specific hardware component such as the touchpad. If you're in the habit of using this feature, we do recommend you try rebooting at least once a week.
That being said, try performing these steps in an effort to fix the issue.
1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, type Device Manager in the "Search Control Panel" box and click on Device Manager to open it. 2. In Device Manager, locate the keyboard, and then double-click the device name. 3. Click the Power Management tab, and then Select the option "Allow this device to wake the computer" checkbox. 4. Click Ok. 5. Locate the touchpad and Repeat step 2 and 3.
