Under software, look for "Set IP". Install that & you can configure a static IP.

Question
Printer does not print when connected to network
The print job from the PC does not seem to get to the printer. The printer is in ready state (green light is on but not flashing as when it's printing). Used to be able to print when directly connected to the PC, and had worked for a while when setup as network printer.

It's possible that the printer has lost its IP address somehow as mine did. I uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it. When I reinstalled the printer, it found or assigned an IP address (apparently one it liked) and commenced printing again. I thought for a time that the NIC in the printer was toast but that is not how things turned out. I used the "sync" program then to find and observe the printer with its new IP address.

What are suggestions to stop printed pages from curling?
Pages have just recently started to come out turned up/curled on the top and bottom edges. Sheets will then not feed straight when subsequently copied. Thank you.

Generally curling paper means the paper isn't sitting correctly in the tray OR you're not using correct weight paper. Check the manual for recommended paper weight, and make sure the paper is centered in the tray.
If you've checked that with no result, it's possible the fuser is either too hot or the paper is being run too slow past the fuser (either of which would cause the paper to curl due to heat exposure). In that case, the printer will need service.
Open the Toner cartridge bay (complete front panel, pull on front corners where thumb grooves are seen). Pull out toner cartridge, then reach into the printer and pull the page from the feed path. Replace toner cartridge, flip up front cover and latch securely, printer should reset to green indicator light.

There is no such Mac OS. The last version of OS 9 is 9.2.2. Are you perhaps referring to OS 10.3?

Firmware update
I have did the indicated in the "howto firmware update", with the printer conected wit usb (and nework) I tested with the network option, and no printer found. When i try to upload the file with the web interface, the error is "invalid Firmware". I have a ML-2851ND baught in latinamerica, i don´t know if exist differences with other products? i need a special firmware?

When I sent a print jot to the printer I get the following message
"Network Printer status is not available"
I have to turn the printer "off" then back "on" then wait about 40 seconds before it will print. I'm running Win 7 64 bit with a wired network. This is the second printer that does the same thing, the first one was returned. This is very repeatable it does this on almost every print job!
