Thank you for contacting Samsung. It can indicate a number of things:

- The cover is opened. Close the cover completely.
- There is no paper in the tray. Load paper in the tray.
- The machine has stopped due to a major error.
- Your system has some problems. If this problem occurs, contact a service representative.
- A toner cartridge has almost reached its estimated cartridge life

Question

The smart panel is now telling me "a print job is saved" or something similar

I know that I must have clicked on something to save the print jobs but when it's printing it keeps telling me that "a print job is saved".

I don't want it to save print jobs, any idea how to turn this feature off?

We have conferred with our resident printer specialist and he indicates that he is unaware of a setting in the Smart Panel that allows you to save a print job. He recommends you reinstall the printer to see if the issue persists.

Question

Not printing WIFI, but working USB... RED BLINKING

the wifi samsung printer 1865w is NOT printing via wifi. There is a RED blinking light that does not seem to change. Occasional after reboot the LED light changes to green, but turns RED shortly afterwards. NO PRINTING WIFI. Now, the printer seems to work with the USB, but only after the buttons on the printer are pressed over and over. Meaning, we hit print on computer while plugged into the USB, then push buttons on printer until it prints away. One FAQ stated the red blinking light is low TONER cartridge, but I find that hard to believe, since the printer is fairly new and rarely used. Please help... Just a note- Both wife and I are having the same problems. The wife's PC is running Windows Vista, while my PC is a bit older and running Windows XP.

Most new printers come with what's known as a starter cartridge, which means it will only last a limited time, so we recommend the instruction suggested in the FAQ article below and try replacing the toner cartridge.

Wireless printing issue

I have to keep installing the software on my computer in order to use wireless printing. If I don't use the printer for a couple of days, it gives an error with the wireless network. On the printer, power light is green and wireless light blinks blue and the stays on. I'm running Windows 7.

Why is the red light on all the time?

I pulled the toner cartridge out to try to reallocate toner as it's running low. The cartridge is in place again, but the red light is on constantly and even though I went through the process (AGAIN) of setting up the WPS, it's telling me I'm not connected even though it initially said I was.

Question

The admin password

The admin password was changed from XXX to YYY and now the printer is not working. Test pages from Sync Web Service works. All computers with wireless access to printer cannot print test pages on the printer. I have re-installed the printer software twice without any progress. How can I reset the admin password? Printing stopped when the password was changed.

How do I get the other computers connected to my network to "see" this printer?

I installed the printer to my one of my laptops (Win7 Home Prem) wirelessly and while the laptop prints fine, none of my other computers can see it. Do I need to install the printer on each computer by attaching the USB and running the wireless install program?

Once my ML-1865W printer goes into sleep mode I am unable to print. I get the message "printer status unavailable". I used to be able to print at any time. If I unplug it and plug it back in I can print until the blue wi-fi lite goes off.

Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. A printout will appear with that information. It's probably also on the bottom/side of the printer (look for a sticker with the printers serial number) or on the original box.
