The image that you are printing is coming off the drum. There is a positive charge that puts the toner on the drum and when the drum rotates and prints out you page, the drum how ever should have something that would clean it off and the drum is discharged. My guess is that the drum needs replaced with a whole new cartridge. Check the drum and see if there are any scratches on it. If there are it will also show up on the paper as well, some times the drum wheres out long before the toner does. If the cartridge was filled up with toner a few times then the drum is eventually going to where out sooner or later.

Printer is not conncting to my network
My Samsung ML 2950 WPS light does not come on and a message says there is no port connection. What can I do to remedy this? Thanks in advance

Landscape printing is now working for ML-1740 as a network printer with Windows 7
Excel 2010 on the Windows 7 64-bit platform will not print in landscape on a Samsung ML-1740 printer through a network. It will print with other printers and to a "pdf" driver. It looks like it will work on the driver when the printer is used in the local mode. In the print preview mode, it actually switches to portrait when the ML-1740 printer is selected and then to landsacpe with another printer is selected. I don't have this problem with another computer using the ML-1740 on the network. This problem happens only with my Windows 7 laptop. The ML-1740 is connected to an XP machine. The printer driver on the laptop is version 3.01. Is there an update to the driver that will fix this? If not, how can I fix this? Thanks, Dave
I get a on line error light and the paper jams when i print
I have had this printer for several years, but I have just developed a problem printing. When attempting to print - the on line error light turns on and the paper jams. I have a new toner cartridge, and made sure that the paper is properly placed in the feed tray. I have also used compressed air to clean the insides of the printer.
What USB connector do I need for my ML-1740 computer?
We got a new computer that does not have a serial port. I tried a serial-to-USB connector, but the printer won't recognize the printer. I need to try the USB-to-USB connection, but I cannot tell what type of connector to buy to fit the printer.
Have a ML-1740 Laser Printer. Have set sleep mode after 5 minutes - the minimum that can be set. However, printer motor continues well after this period. Is there a way to reset the printer? Can you suggest other action
