Can you help with a printer sharing problem?
Hi! I have an ML-2010 which used to be connected to a computer with XP Professional, and shared on a network with a netbook (XP Home) and a laptop (XP Professional), with no problems. The printer has been moved to a new Windows 7 computer. The netbook and laptop can add the shared printer, but can not print to it. When printing a test page from printer properties, Windows Explorer crashes on the laptop or netbook. Sometimes a "Test Page" job shows in the printer status on both the client PC and the Windows 7 PC, with status of "spooling" on the Windows 7 PC, but nothing prints. Behavior is identical on both the laptop and netbook. The netbook can print to the printer when the printer is directly connected to the printer. Any suggestions? The printer on the Windows 7 computer has been tried with client rendering both enabled and disabled. Help! and thanks in advance.
