Question

I have the 120hz option on in the menu, but my set never displays at 120hz only 60hz?

Let me see if I can clear this up. So the "source" is feeding your tv 60hz and thats why the display is saying 60Hz. Then the tv takes that sources and does a double rate to 120Hz. You are seeing 120Hz its just not displaying that

This unit is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box.

Yes and No. There are apps on this tv but its very limited. It is the early stages of what Samsung now calls their "Smart TV's"

Hope that answers your question

Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps or any other internet content, it can access internet content through a 2010 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing).

NO. I really wished we could! From what I understand its other because Samsung wants us to buy a new tv or its because of the HDMI connection but more detail the processor. I believe our tvs do not have a fast enough processor to handle the bandwidth requirements.

I really wish it was as simple as a firmware update.

Also I wouldnt rush out to get an 3D tv. Its still has not caught on to the masses.

Question

How can I stream NetFlix to this TV?

I have the TV successfully connected to the internet, but there is no NetFlix app. How can I get a NetFlix app, or stream NetFlix to the TV without one? The app store only talks about apps for 2010+ TVs

Bruce,

This tv does not have an native NetFlix app... I hate to burst your bubble. You needed to get a newer tv that samsung calls "Smart TV".

Now you can still use this tv to stream NetFlix. You will just need an external box. All video game consoles stream it ie. Playstion 3. Go to Netflix to see what stand alone boxes you can get.
