I pre ordered mine before it was released and received it the week befor ethe Daytona 500 Feb of 2009

try plugging tv into different outlet to verify whether tv is getting enough power.

Thanks for the question. The PiP feature in the LN52A850 is limited to one cable connection and any other input connection (HDMI, Component, PC). Since the set has one tuner, you will be able to watch your cable programing while having your HDMI BD player playing in the PiP box.

Hi there Mustang50, I can't diagnose the issue from here, but i can suggest that maybe the stand is backwards on the TV. Try unscrewing the stand and reversing it and see if that alleviates the problem.

Although I may not have that info, I can tell you to keep checking back regularly for any updates on the A850's firmware.

Currently there are no available firmware updates for the A850. So the firmware that is on the unit now is the latest and only firmware currently available.

I'm sorry for your issue. From what I know, the 120Hz Auto Motion Plus works great for movies, TV programing and games alike. However, if you are having issues with blurring, I would suggest either you turn the AMP to a lower setting or that you turn on "Game Mode" which allows for the game signal to bypass some of the TVs processors and give you a direct feed of the signal. After turning this option on, you can try and put the AMP to High and see if that fixes your issue.

I would say a 1 to 2 inch gap all around would be adequate for ventilation. As far as a fan goes, the TVs do have internal cooling devices, however extra cooling never hurt.

At this time, we can not say when a firmware update will be available, however keep checking back on Samsung.com for any updates on firmware.

I can't say if they will or not, but if they are, they will be introduced in a firmware update. since that is the case, make sure you keep an eye out for any updates by checking Samsung.com regularly.

the toc option is on the frame of the tv itself therefore it cannot be adjusted.

Additionally, although technically PC Share Manager should work with Windows 7, when using Windows 7, Windows Media Player can be used to stream content to the AllShare Samsung TVs.

Hi there DennisG, thanks for the question! I can understand wanting everything to be flush and fit nicely together. On the LN52A850, the distance between the bottom of the TV and the top of the stand is 2". Hopefully you will be able to fit your components nicely under the set.

The PiP feature on the LN52A850 will allow you to watch TV and one other source on the screen at the same time. Since the set does not have dual tuners, you will only be able to veiw another source in the PiP (such as HDMI or PC).

Unfortunately, the 2009 and earlier model series Samsung TVs and Samsung Blu-Ray Players (not the year they were produced, just the year of the model implementation) will not be eligible for upgrades to the 2010 Samsung Apps Engine or 3D. For the TVs, the panel material isn’t able to display 3D content and the internal hardware (processors, HDMI ports, etc.) on both the TVs and the BD players are not compatible with 3D, the 2010 Samsung Apps Engine or any other 2010 feature. That said, all content and firmware updates can be found on this product's home page, under the Support & Downloads tab.

Unfortunately, the LN52A850 is not a 3D capable unit and will not offer any 3D playback. Only select 2010 Samsung TVs will offer 3D playback using the HDMI 1.4 standard.
