What you may be doing is only plugging in the Red, Green and Blue cables. All three of those are video cables only. You do still need to use the White & Red audio cables when using a component connection.

From a computer, the maximum refresh rate that can be supported is 60Hz. Although the LN46C650 is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image, it can only accept a 60Hz signal. However, this set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. In order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto motion Plus active.

The ToC feature on your TV is not a feature that can be turned on or off. Touch of Color only refers to the actual color of the bezel and the different manufacturing process used to produce the bezel.

The touch of color is not something you can turn on or off, it is a captivating gradient of color built into the bezel of the television. If you look at the edges of the TV stand and also the inside dimension of the frame border, you will see a gradient of red fading into the black primary of the TV. That is touch of color, an amazing idea by Samsung.

Question

Netflix? Pandora?

There seems to be a discrepancy in information re: the internet apps. On the one hand the LN46C650 specific site refers to internet apps for netflix and pandora, however the internet apps demo video neglects to mention either of these services to be available. I'm thinking of buying the TV and these two apps would be a nice bonus. Can someone who's already purchased test them and tell me if they are available.

Question

Skype on this model

I read that the skype app is not available on this TV. Will it become available at a future date? Is there anything in the hardware/architecture that would prevent it from working on this TV?

If not, what is the expected time frame for this app to become available for this TV?

Thanks

Adjusting Image for Shows

When I watch talk shows the people really pop out and are crisp and clear. The same occurs when I watch the Dramas like Law and Order but on a show like that it looks unnatural. Is there away to adjust the image so the people don't seem like they are 3-D for those shows?

Most likely, you have Auto Motion Plus active, which will give you images a more "Hyper Real" feel. To turn this feature off, you can enter the TV's menu, then to the Picture sub-menu. Once there, scroll down and click on "Picture Options". Auto Motion Plus will then be located within this new menu, where you can adjust it from its highest setting to off.

From the info I have, it seems that the base of the unit does not light up. The red color you may be seeing in the pictures has been enhanced to alert the consumer to the color of the bezel itself. This feature is called Touch of Color. ToC is not a feature that can be turned on or off, and again, only refers to the actual color of the bezel and the different manufacturing process used to produce the bezel.

Question

Subtitle Charset in Media player

TV is great, it automatically recognizes subtitles and I can able to play almost every divx video I have with media player.

Only problem is about subtitles. The charset of subtitles (encoding) is in English. So I cannot see special characters of my language such as "İ,ö,ğ,ç" etc. For example, instead of "İ", I see "Ý" .

Is there any setting that I can change the subtitle language? (other than English, French or Spanish).

Note: the problem is just viewing subtitles. I'm happy with English menu.

Although you will be able to connect a 3D BD player to the LN46C650 and play 2D Blu-Rays on it, since the LN46C650 is not a 3D TV, 3D Blu-Rays will not be compatible. Samsung 3D TVs offer HDMI 1.4 which is required for full resolution 3D, and they offer the 3D processor in order to process the 3D signal from a 3D source (it can even turn 2D content to 3D).

Although I have not heard of any issue with video playback with the 120Hz Auto motion Plus feature on, I can say that it is possible to turn this feature off. When watching your streaming video, press the "Tools" button on your remote. A new menu will pop up with picture adjustments that can be made to your stream. You should find the Auto Motion Plus toggle on this screen as well if its available.

Question

How do I disable the Antenna Source on the LN46C650?

I do not have a cable TV subscription (or directTV, etc.) and as such their is nothing plugged into the Antenna jack in the back of the TV. The white noise I encounter every time I power up this TV is driving me crazy, so I want to disable the Antenna Source or select PC as the default Source.

I have tried setting the Source to PC and using this as the default Source, however if no computer is attached or the attached computer is in Sleep mode and I turn on the TV, the TV will be unresponsive (cannot access Menu, Tools, Internet, Yahoo! Dock, etc) until I either attach a computer, turn on the attached computer or change the Source.

Please provide any information on how to correct this behavior, thanks!
