I was wondering if this tv's remote will work with a Directv set-top box.

I'm not sure if i'm missing something but I can not find any way to get the samsung remote to work with my directv reciever. It would be nice to only use the samsung remote to control the channels. Is this a possablity or am I out of luck? Thanks

first of all you need a cable box and then needs a 2 way splitter and 2 lines of coax cable

procedure: coax cable from the wall goes to the 2 way splitter and then1 line of coax cable to the back of cable box and then the other line of coax cable going to the ANT in on the back of the and then cable box can be connected anyway with HDMI, component cables or AV cables or even coax cable also and then on the tv use the samsung remote and go to menu and then channel and then set antenna source to cable and then go to auto-program to program channels of cable and then if done change source of the tv to HDMI if connection is HDMI and then go to menu again and then setup and then PIP (picture in picture) and set to ON

The ToC feature on your TV is not a feature that can be turned on or off. Touch of Color only refers to the actual color of the bezel and the different manufacturing process used to produce the bezel.

Question

Please explain 120Hz refresh rate vs Panel Native 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz

I purchased model LN40C670M1F LED HDTV which your online specs state has a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the specs in the user manual that came with it show a Panel Native of 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz, and when I click Info on the remote control the screen shows 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz. Please explain why it doesn't show 120Hz. Thanks, EdC

This TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal and there are currently no consumer devices on the market that will transmit at over 60Hz (excluding some PCs).

Question

When we watch Netflix through the Internet TV Feature, the screen periodically flickers

When we watch Netflix through the Internet TV Feature, the screen periodically flickers. This is becoming very annoying. When watching a Netflix movie, the screen will periodically flicker to a black screen, then back to the picture. This occurs throughout the movie. We don't notice it on the TV. It's not our Internet, as we have another Samsung TV, that the Netflix is going through the Samsung Blu-ray player and we don't experience this issue. All devices are hardwired. Is there a something wrong with this set?

Unfortunately, this seems to be an issue with Netflix's own app. On some devices Netflix has allowed for searches of content, while on other devices they have restricted it to the Instant Que. For more details, please contact Netflix.

you need first to create a internet@tv log in ID on the internet@tv page go to settings and then create a internet@tv log-in ID and then should be asked to enter the service site ID for your facebook account

and after that is done one the main page of the internet@tv on the bottom right hand corner there is a small red A icon that says log in, log in your internet@Tv ID and then if it says log out go to facebook to enter

In order to change the aspect ratio (screen size), you will want to head into the TV's menu, then to the picture sub-menu. Once there, head into the "Picture Options" option. Within that option, you will see the "Size" adjustment. Clicking into that will allow you to change the picture size of the screen.
