Your Direct TV controller should work with your TV controller, not the other way around.

Although a universal remote would be much easier to set up in this fashion, the Remote that comes with the TV can only be used with the TV itself. The Samsung TV's remote is not a multi-device universal remote. If you have Samsung devices that offer Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) connectivity, then you may be able to use your one TV remote to control said devices without having to program anything.

Have my PC attached via hdmi/DVI cable from TV to PC. Have plugged a RCA cable into the rear of the PC into the speaker out jack...and tried both of the rar audio in red/white ports but can NOT get any sound.

Is it possible to get sound with a PC hooked up to the 403 and how...ie...what am I missing.

Worked perfectly with Samsung LN T3253H 8 previously ?

I'm sorry for the confusion, however, since the D403 does not offer audio inputs for a PC connection, the only way to get sound to the TV from a PC is to connect an HDMI cable from a PC that offers audio over HDMI to the TV.

Their are preset sound options that you can play with. Or if your more comfortable, you can switch it to manual, and adjust the equilizer yourself.

In order to change the specific audio settings like Bass and Treble, you will first want to set your sound Mode to Standard. Once set to Standard, you should see the Equalizer option become active. With in the Equalizer, you should be able to adjust the different sound settings to your liking.

The 403 has closed caption but only for over the air programming or straight cable programming using the CC key on the remote. For closed captioning through your HD cable box, you would need to go to the cable box settings. For mine I simply turn the box off and hit the menu key for the cable box setup to be displayed. If this does not work for you contact your cable company for the specifics.

answer 2
You should look at the instructions. The way I did it was to screw 3 screws to the foundation and the little standing thingy. These three screws are a pain because you have to screw them until they don't turn anymore. Otherwise, your tv will be swinging like mine. Then, after you assemble the 2 base parts into each other, you stick it the TV and you should have 4 more screws that need to go in. The screws look like they don't fit at first, but they go in all right. Make sure you tighten all the way to the end.

Besides the power cord, you shouldn't have to worry, that is more for DVD players, and more specifically, DVD's. As long as you have the right dvd region matched up to the proper dvd player region code. You should be good.

answer 2
All UN, PN and LN units (North American Units) will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and NA power systems. Since the NA TVs will not accept a PAL signal or Non-NA voltages, you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power if you would like to use the TV in a PAL country. Unfortunately, I will not be able to recommend a specific converter since Samsung cannot offer support for products we do not manufacture.

Question

Why does my DVD/VHS player not display in color?

I just purchased an LN32D403. It works great. However, when I tried to connect my DVD player it plays, there is sound but the picture is in black and White. It looks like it wants to be in color but is not. I have two different DVD players and they both did the same thing? Are they just old? Suggestions?

Question

How do I get rid of the box in the upper left of the screen EVERY time I change channels?

There is a box of information that appears each time I change channels. It covers up the banner from the cable company that gives me the information about the channel I turned to. But because of Samsung's box that appears, I can NEVER see the banner that tells me the info on the channel I selected. The Samsung boxs says "HDMI1/DVI" there is also a number that changes depending on the channel or show playing. It sometimes says "720x480" or it might say "1289x720." Different numbers for different programs. I want to get rid of the box of information - - - for good. It is extremely annoying.
