All UN, PN and LN units (North American Units) will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and 100v-127v 60Hz power. Since the NA TVs will not accept a PAL signal (or higher voltages), you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power if you would like to use the TV in a PAL country.

All current generation Samsung TVs are digital signal ready. All of our TVs include a coax ATSC/QAM tuner that handles digital, HD and analogue broadcast signals as well. No external boxes or equipment needed to view your basic cable, and only an antenna is needed for Over the Air broadcasts. Premium service may require additional equipment and fees. Depending on your area, you may not receive HD channels or they may just not be available from your broadcasters. Please contact your service provider or broadcasters for details.

To perform a factory reset:

With the TV powered ON, press and hold the EXIT button on the remote for 15 seconds or until you're prompted to "RESET?" Choose YES then [Enter} and you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup when you power the set back on. If prompted, choose Home Mode rather than Shop mode.

The source selection on the TV must be set to the input jack you are using. Look to see if there is a separate selection for the cable input. There is a separate selection for HDMI and that is what I used for the computer and it worked well.

In order to activate/deactivate your Power-on tone, you can head into the TV's menu, then into the setup sub-menu. Once there you should see the "General" option. Click into that option and you should see the “Melody” adjustment. This adjustment will allow you to adjust the power on/off tone of the TV.

LN32C540 - Front Red Power Light?

I notice with the power OFF on the TV, the red light in front stays on; yet when you turn it ON, the light goes off. That's bizarre. Power lights should go OFF when the power is off. Is there a way to reverse that action?

The light you are seeing is the Standby light. This light comes on when the TV is off so you know that the TV is powered off. and turns off when the TV is powered on. This is standard with most Samsung electronics.

first - test fit the L shaped piece into the bottom of the tv so you see how it fits.

put the base plate on the table
put the ring with the prong side down and moce it around until it fits
put three screws in the L shaped tv holder
put the Lshaped bracket on top of the circle that you added to the base
the L shaped ledge will support the bottom fo the tv and should be faced toward the front of the base
the front of the base if the side farthest from the circle
screw the three screws in
turn base so back faces you
left flat screen with back facing you and place over base with the top back of the L shaped bracket
sliding into the back of the tv
insert and tighten 4 screws to hold the back in.
add the power cord and plug in
connect you cable to the bcable connection (input)
turn on

The snap enclosure is if you want to coil up unused power cord for a neat package.
