Question

Why would my lcd 530 HDTV suddenly start switching inputs on its own?

while watching tv and input is on HDMI1, it will suddenly switch input to TV all on its own. Happening more and more frequently. Can you please tell me what might be causing this. Is it a hardware issue where I could replace a part to fix it?

Unfortunately, headphone jacks are not available on this unit; however you can still connect headphones to this unit with a third party headphone device (either through RCA, 3.5mm jack or Optical). Since the audio outputs on this unit are a fixed pass through type of connection, you would need an intermediary device to control the volume, since the TV does not have control of the volume coming out of the analogue and digital audio outputs. Additionally, the Samsung TVs will not offer direct wireless connectivity to wireless capable headphones.

Question

The TV will not turn on, yet has power. Why?

If the on-off button on the bottom right hand corner of the TV is touched, the red LED indicator blinks a few times and the TV does not turn on. If you try to turn it on with the remote, the same thing happens: the small red LED indicator light flashes and the TV does not turn on. Once in while, if you leave the TV alone and come back 15 minutes later, it turn right now. This is strange. I see nothing in the manual. What is wrong?

Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can access App content through a 2010-11 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing). Unfortunately, I currently do not have any information on Samsung Apps or Smart TV being added to the 2011 and earlier models that do not offer said features.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you,

Question

I am having a problem with TV cutting off and back on after it has been on for awhile.

The TV will automatically cut off and then back on without doing anything after it has been on for awhile. When this happens you can not change channels either, it will cut off and back on and channel will not change. I have tried turning TV off for a period of time and it seems to work OK for awhile.

The TV is wall mountable, and uses the VESA mount standard. The specs would be 200x200, and the size of the connecting screws would be rated M6.

Thanks for your support of Samsung products.

The light you are seeing is actually the Standby light. It is very normal to have this light on while the TV is off, since the light is indicating that the TV is turned off. Otherwise, it would be very hard to tell at a glance whether the TV is on or off due to the nature of HDTVs.

I’m sorry, but unfortunately, with the information you have provided, I do not have a solution for you at this time. If for any reason, your TV is not sitting level on its stand, I would recommend removing the TV from its stand, then remounting it. If that does not fix the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG for a additional assistance.

It sounds like your TV is in "Store Demo" mode. You can change it using the following instructions which can be found under the troubleshooting section of the user guide.

If TV is in the • Store Demo mode, it will reset audio and picture settings every 30 minutes. Please change from Store Demo mode to Home Use mode in the Plug & Play procedure. Press the SOURCE button to select TV mode, go to MENU → Setup → Plug & Play → ENTER.

The Samsung 32" LN32C530 LCD TV has an Energy Saving feature called ECO Solution with a built-in ECO Sensor that automatically optimizes the TV screen brightness to the in-room lighting. It's a great feature but can be somewhat annoying but you do have the option to turn it off by pressing the MENU button, make sure you're in the Picture setting, and press right to go into Mode. Scroll down to Eco Solution, press right (or center button), scroll down to Eco Sensor, press right again (or center button), another right (or center button), and choose Off. Now you're TV won't DIM everytime the lighting changes in the room. :)
