I use my laptop with an HDMI cable to hook directly to the TV to view Netflix--an amazing picture with this TV compared to my old TV where I had to use an S video hookup.

The tv has a VGA and RGB port on the back of it. So if your laptop has a VGA or RGB port (typical monitor output) then yes. Unfortunately it does not have S cable hook up. It does however have composite. I have my Computer hooked up through RGB and it is extrodiarily crisp and clean.

Question

Is there any difference between the LN32B460 andthe LN32B460B2DXZA? or is the latter just extra letters that certain outlets put on the model number?

LN32B460B2DXZA - I have seen this used by some e-commerce outlets and just wanted to make sure it is the same as this LN32B460 model.

Hi there gpperez0685, good question! LN32B460B2DXZA would be the exact model number that you would see at one of our retail partners. Although the differences between that and the more generalized and all encompassing LN32B460 model number may be minimal or even non-existent, there can be some from time to time, depending on what the retailer has specifically ordered. Usually, its nothing more then just an extra display port or a different stand.

I hope this helped you out :)

The B460 model does not have a red light that is offered at the bottom of the unit. I can understand how this mistake can be made. On the box, we highlight the red strip along the bottom of the TV to make sure our customers know the color of the product they are purchasing.

Question

Does LN32B460 support PAL format to support in India?

I am planning to buy this TV from US and take it while going back to India. Will this TV work with the PAL format since that is the standard signal format over in India.

Also will the warranty cover in India if this is purchased from here or a International Warranty available.

If you purchase a TV within the US, it will be formatted for NTSC and will not work on regular cable out side the country. I'm not to sure if HDMI will transmit a compatible signal as well, but you will also need to have a power adapter if you want to power the set internationally as well. The warranty is also only valid in the US if the product is purchased in the US.

Although I may not have the wattage numbers readily available to me, I can say that most all Samsung TVs are energy star compliant. This ensures the best possible performance with minimal power usage.

I'm glad you love your new TV. But due to some manufacturers using different codes for their IR remotes, Samsung does not have a universal code for all of these devices. In order to find out your remotes code for our Samsung TVs, it is best that you contact your remotes manufacturer for further details.

Question

Is it possible to turn off the display with the time/resolution info?

I used to love the fact that the Samsung TVs included the display resolution and input source in a little box whenever you switch to a new input source or the resolution of the source being displayed changes. However, this feature has become very irritating recently when I have been playing old Playstation games. Playstation games tend to display at different resolutions depending on if you are in a menu or actually playing the game, and the issue I have is if I pause a game and then resume it, I get that ugly box over the top left of the screen that can sometimes obscure my view for 5 seconds. Is there any way to get the TV to stop displaying this info box?

I can understand your frustration on this matter. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to turn off the Info box on the Samsung TVs. However, if you set the PS3 to send the signal out at 1080p only, instead of auto, it will always output a 1080p signal (although not a 1080p resolution) and then the info box shouldn't keep popping up.
