Question

remote sometimes not recognized?

At times, the Samsung remote is ignored by the TV. Even generic remotes which have worked will not work at those times (days). Meanwhile, the remote works well with another TV.

After several days, it suddenly works again.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

We recommend you check the batteries and make sure there are no obstructions blocking the RF signal. Even if you know the batteries are good, it sometimes helps to take them out and re-seat them in the battery compartment. Do not mix different battery brands within a device. Doing so will reduce overall performance and may also cause battery leakage or rupture. We recommend using the same type of batteries within a device.

If you have any additional questions, we suggest your refer to your product manual or the product support page on our website, where you'll find a comprehensive troubleshooting guide, product support videos, FAQs and How-Tos, as well as manual downloads.

Question

what is the difference between 30,00: 1 and 8,00:1 contrast ratio

Great question! A higher contrast ratio means a brighter, crisper image. So you will want the set with the 30,000:1 contrast ratio.

As far as the 2 models mentioned are concerned, the LN32B360 has an updated bezel and it has a higher contrast ratio then the LN32A330.

Hope this helped you out :)

Question

Is TV usable in United Kingdon i.e. on PAL system?

I have a Samsung LN32A330J1D model LCD TV.

I wish to take it with me to the UK but am unsure if it will work on the PAL system in use there (vs the NTSC system here in the US).

Can you let me know if it will work or if I will need some sort of adaptor?

Thanks.

Hi there, if you purchased your TV here in the US, it will most likely not work over seas for 2 reasons: 1) PAL is not compatible with NTSC tuners, and unfortunately, I do not know whether there are adapters or not. 2) The power requirements for over seas models is different from US models, you will need an adapter for the power as well.

Brazil is a PAL/Secam territory, so the US spec TVs will not be compatible with their cable broadcast systems.

Question

What is it that causes choppy audio on HD channels, and how do I fix it?

I've had the TV for about a year, and I've had this problem the whole time. At first I thought it was the cable company but it has been hooked up in different areas and I still have the same problem. The choppy audio starts randomly and does not normally go away until I change the channel. I have looked up online ways to fix this, but I can not find any fixes, I've only found more people with the same problem.

Question

How do I hook my television up to my computer?

I have two Samsung flat screen TV's. When I hook my laptop computer up to either of them via a VGA connection, neither TV detects a signal. I also have another brand of flatscreen TV, and it works fine hooked up to my laptop. Is there perhaps an extra step in configuring my Samsung TV's to do this?

In order to view cable broadcast on your TV, you will need to either physically have the coax cable connected to the TV or have a Cable Box connected to the TV. Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can display App content from a 2010-12 Samsung BD player or other internet capable device (the blu-ray player/internet capable device will handle the Internet content processing, while the TV displays the content. Similar to how a monitor will display the PC’s video signal). That said, the BD Player cannot act as the cable box. The WiFi connection is only used to connect the Player to a wireless home network so it can access the internet.

Question

Vertical black bar on my LN32A330J1N

Within the last week my LCD display has developed a noticable black bar towards the left side of the
display screen. I have tried changing the picture standard, and unplugging the AC for awhile. No
luck the bar is still there. When I feed a video signal from a DVD player to the component video in,
the bar is still present.

My S/N # is AQBS34TQ902921K. I believe that the unit is no longer under warranty.

Question

Is there a known problem with the 32" LCD power?

I am unable to turn my TV on. I turned it off using my remote yesterday and have been unable to turn it back on at all, with and without the remote. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in with no luck. There is a red light on the power button on the front of the TV but it does not do anything but blink once if I try to turn it on.
