I was having the same issue. I just 'chatted' with a Samsung techie who suggested I unplug it from my surge protector. Once I did that, it starts up just fine...... weird, I thought I was protecting my TV, but whatever, it works.

This Samsung TV is digital cable and Antenna ready. This unit includes a coax ATSC/QAM tuner that handles digital and analogue broadcast signals as well. No external boxes or equipment needed to view your basic cable. An antenna is required for over the air broadcasts. Premium service may require additional equipment and fees. This unit does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.

There are two picture options that could cause the TV to have a pink or red hue.
Tint and Color Tone
Tint will adjust the colors hues to be either greener or redder. This option can be found in the Picture menu. Set it to 0 and see if this resolves your problem If it does not try adjusting color tone.
Color Tone adjusts the white light intensity. If it is set to a "Warm" setting it will have a pink hue to the white color. This setting is found in the Picture Options sub menu in the Picture menu.

There are three ways to connect your PC to your Samsung TV: monitor cable, HDMI to HDMI or HDMI to DVI.

Although all of these connections are easy to hook up, the PC monitor cable is the most common. To connect it this way, just use a standard PC monitor cable to connect from the monitor out of your PC to the PC input on the TV. Some adjustments to the PC's resolution is required.

If your PC offer HDMI out, I would highly suggest using this connection, since it is a basic plug-n-play connection (meaning almost no adjustment is needed on the TV or PC).

HDMI to DVI is almost the same as straight HDMI, but in this case, you will want to connect the DVI end of the cable to the PC (if available) and the HDMI into the TV. This is also considered a plug-n-play connection.

Unless otherwise specified by your PC manufacturer, you will need to connect the PC's audio to the TV with a separate cable (3.5mm jack cable), since most PCs do not support audio over HDMI, VGA or DVI.

why does it take so long for the tv to turn on after it has been off all nite?

it will click 25 times and make that video game sound but wont come on for 2 to 5 min. It also will have alot of pink pixel dots when it finally turns on.

Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can access App content through a 2010 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing. Hulu+ is only available on the 2010 3D Blu-Ray Players at this time). Unfortunately, there is currently no information on upgrades to Samsung Apps for the 2009 and earlier TVs.
