Problem with TV turning on

When we push the on button on the TV or the remote, the Television will click on and off about 10 to 15 times before it actually comes on. WHat could be the problem?

Hello I just sent you an answer or more like a confirmation that i was having the same issue, but i just talked with tech support and there is a firmware download you have to get in order to fix the problem. I didnt know if you knew this already, but thought i would just pass that along to you. You have to chat with tech support and they will send you the download that you then have to put onto a jump drive and download it to your tv. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, there is currently no information on 2010 features being added to 2009 and earlier models at this time.

What causes the TV to not power up immediately?

This has just started in the last few weeks. Once the remote is activated, there are numerous clicking noises; approximately 20+ seconds later, the tv will power up.

they had a recall on certain models with capacitors.. the capacitors that are in your TV is too weak to handle the voltage.. i had the same problem and just got it solved by calling the service center.. and fixed for free because my TV was eligible for a free repair.. call the samsung service call center and see if your TV is too..

Question

The tv started wasn't turning on right away it was making a clicking sound every couple of seconds and then eventually powering on.

After a couple clicks and minutes then it would power on. This problem continued and got worse it was taking longer and longer to power on even took up to 30 minutes sometimes. Eventually the tv wouldn't ever power on it just kept trying all it did it kept making the clicking noise for days and never turned on. What could this problem be?

i can't be too certain what it really is since i don't have any info about your TV, but i had a very simular happening on my TV and when i called the service center, they told me they had a recall on my model of TV with bad(weak) capacitors.. try calling and get it fixed asap..

Why LN-T4042H will not recognize my Samsung blu ray player

We have to turn the TV off and on several times before it will recognize the blu ray player. My blu ray player BD-P1500 is going through a Onkyo TX-Sr606 and I am using hdmi cables through out.

We recommend you make sure you have installed the latest firmware update for your TV. Version 1020.0 was released on 10/20/2011.

Clicking problem while turning TV on

Hello,
My (LN-T4042H) TV is progressively worsening with a clicking issue wherein it takes about 3-5 minutes (about 12 clicks) before turning on... I have read in several customer testimonials that there is a common issue with capacitor parts for TVs manufactured in certain years. Is Samsung able to offer a fix for this issue at this time?

You are connecting the PS3 correctly but it appears that the PS3 is sending it's default signal of 1920 x 1080. The LN-T4042 has a max resolution of 1360 x 768. If you are exceeding this resolution you will receive the message "Mode Not Supported". Please adjust the resolution of your PS3 to match your TVs max resolution.

Why does my LNT-4042H TV take multiple times of pressing the on button to come on?

Question

Can this tv be repaired?

In about August this tv began to click on and off when I tried to turn it on. Eventually it would come on. As time has passed it has taken longer and longer to come on and then eventually it won't come on at all. It did not matter if I tried to turn it on with the remote or manually. Can this be fixed and what is the cost? Thanks for any response given.

Where can I take my TV to get repaired?

I've had my TV for 3 years now and about 6 months ago it started to take time powering on. At first it would take a minute or 2 and now it has taken up to 10 minutes. I've read reviews about this problem with Samsung TVs and it seems that it is a common issue. I need to find a place to have it repaired. The price of the repair will reflect on my decision to purchase Samsung ever again.

Does my HD tv qualify for a replacement power supply

My hdtv is clicking when turned on and taking longer and longer to power up. I know from researching the net that this is an issue with some tvs manufactured by samsung. please let me know if i quality. short of that tell me the part number for a new power supply board and I will replace it. My son-in-law already did this with a 22" samsung that I bought that also died of "power supply failure."
