Thank you for contacting Samsung! The behavior you described is normal. With Auto-Power set, the sound bar looks for an incoming signal from the TV; when it sees that signal, it powers on. However, when the sound doesn't see that signal, it remains on for a period of time until turning off because it isn't getting any input. it does not, however, turn off automatically.
