Question
How do I get this unit to turn on with my Samsung TV in Anynet Mode?
I have a Samsung UN60ES7100FXZA TV, and a Samsung HW-E450 Sound Bar. According to the specs, the sound bar should not only turn off when the TV is powered off, but, back on, when the TV is turned on. However, in my case (And this happens on 2 different units), I can either turn off with the TV, and not back on, or, Turn on with the TV, but, not back on. My system is set up as such: Sat Box into the HDMI 1 of the Sound bar. HDMI Out of Sound Bar into HDMI 2 of the TV. I have also tried using the optical cable to connect between the Sound Bar and the TV. In this connection, I no longer have Anynet (Has to be off), With this connection, The TV does not power the Sound bar off, but, it will turn it on. However, in this mode, you have to use the Soundbar remote to control volume. I at first thought I have a defective unit, so boxed it up, and went to where I purchased the unit. The assistant manager gave me some grief, but, exchanged it. I brought the unit home, and now have the same issue. I went back to the store, and used the one that they have on the floor (Demo). It does the exact same thing. So, I spoke with the assistant manager again, and showed him the issue. He told me that he knew that this is a problem with these, and that while Samsung know of the issue, there is no fix. So, I am hoping that a engineer or above can figure this one out. I have researched this on the web, and there are 100’s of people with the same issue. Can someone please look into this issue, and fix it? This is why I bought ALL Samsung, because with AnyNet, they were all supposed to work together, and be able to use one remote.
Thanks,
