Looking for Answers about samsung HW-D550?

The sound is great on this soundbar and we never have an issue with it while watching TV on our 55" Samsung D8000. But when we play games such as "Need for Speed Hot Pursuit" or "Call of Duty World at War", while playing the sound just turns off, and a power reset on the sound bar corrects it for a few minutes then back off again.
Is there a way to eliminate this ?

I've hooked up my blu-ray player and cable box to the HW-D550 soundbar using HDMI which, in turn, is connected to my tv via HDMI. The problem I'm experiencing is that the sound keeps cutting out every 30 secounds or so for about half a second. At first I assumed a Blu-ray disc read problem but then I discovered the same thing when watching cable tv on any channel. I've read online where other users have experienced this problem as well. This, needless to say, is very distracting and irritating. Is there a firmware upgrade coming soon to address this problem? I need to know soon as I have only a 4-day window remaining to return the soundbar to the retailer. Thanks.

I've connected the HDMi and the Audio and no results

Without my Roku connected to the soundbar (I connect it via hdmi) anynet+ works fine with my TV. Once I connect my Roku to the soundbar, anynet+ suddently just doesn't work. Why is this, and how can I fix it?

I just purchased a "Samsung - 2.1-Ch. Home Theater SoundBar System with Wireless Subwoofer
Model: HW-D550ZA| SKU: 2052088" along with a "Samsung-46" Class / LED / 1080p / 120Hz / 3D / HDTV-UN46D6420U" and would like to add an additional "non-samsung" wireless sub woofer to the set-up to account for the low-freq deficiency in the sound bar. This means I would be using the sound bar, its matching wireless sub-woofer, and an additional sub-woofer with wireless transmitter. Is this possible to have to separate audio signals sent at the same time? If so how would I accomplish this? If not, are there any alternatives? Your help is appreciated.

I have my time warner cable plugged in and the sound of that comes out of the sound bar just fine but how do I also get the samsung smart tv apps to play out of the sound bar as well?

It does not appear to work with an LN46D503F6F TV from Sears. I am returning the TV, but are there other Samsung 46 " LCD or LED TV's that will not work prperly. Particularly the ARC HDMI mode. The problem with the D503F6F is it only has HDMI connections for sound, nothing else.

Connected the HDMI directly between D550 and Samsung Smart TV ( ARC ) however DIGI 1 is displayed on Sound Bar Display and when I change the Input to HDMI 1 there is no sound ? Is this correct. My Dish Remote works the TV and the Sound Bar Sound which is great. Also, no sound from Sub Woofer at all. Tried reinstalling and nothing ? Is there a setting I need to change to make it work ?

All of the different sound modes except "pass" add a pretty strong echo/reverb sound effect to the audio. I like the equalizer settings for "cinema" but I just cant handle the added sound effects (especially for dialogue!) Is there a way to tone this down, or any way to change these settings without the added echo?? If not, this HAS to be fixed in a firmware upgrade, its making me consider returning and I cant be alone! THANKS!!

It doesn't seem like there is sound coming out of the large speaker, and we want to access the manual equalizer. How do we get to the Setup menu? It came up when we first set everything up and turned it on, but we can't get to it again.

Sound bar is connected to TV using HDMI cable to the HDMI buss. Sound bar will not turn on using TV (Samsung UN46D6000SF) or cable (Cox) remote; however it will turn off with these remotes. Volume of sound bar is controlled with both TV or cable remote, I can't get it to turn on with the remotes. I must now use the sound bar remote to turn it on.

If I have the sound on the tv and the sound bar is on also the sound from the bar is delayed after the tv sound. Does not look good when there is a person talking.

When I use my charter dvr, I have it set for hdmi 1. But when I am turning everything on, the soundbar will turn on to hdmi 1, then after a minute it will go to the digital input setting but nothing is hooked up to that input.

The graphics are bad. The unit does not turn on with the TV. Only 10% of the time does it stay on HDMI1. You have got to fix these issues.

I cannot get the ATLAS OCAP to change its volume control from the TV to the Sound Bar---HELP!!!

I currently have a new UN55D8000 set, Samsung 3D Blu-Ray player, and a DTV H20 Satalite receiver. All have both to slink and HDMI outputs. I currently have a 2 year old Samsung speaker bar with 2 Toslink inputs. So with my H20, and Blu-Ray hooked to it, I am not outputting my TV to the bar. This new bar has HDMI inputs, Toslink, and an HDMI output. I want to purchase this speaker bar, but after reading the manual online, I am confused on the connectivity of the devises. Can you give me any advise on how my devices will connect to and from this speaker bar. I just want to make an educated purchase. Thanks.
