Looking for Answers about samsung 7.1 AV Receiver?

The instruction indicated that I should connect a cable box to Sat, but the unit flips to TV direct frequently. Can I prevent this?

I have multiple remotes & may have hit a wrong button on a non samsung remote. If this is true, how do I get the reciever to recognize my original remote?

Sub-woofer will not turn on with any audio settings.
It does turn on during TEST.

i have connected everything to my receiver. i am getting video for all components hooked up(xbox, wii, cable) but no sound whatsoever. i did the test tone and got sound through all speakers so i know they are hooked up right but cant get sound with my external components, but have video.

How can I get a remote... the store sold me this off the shelf w/o user manual and remote. Physically the unit appears in good shape.

I have a hw-c700 receiver. I have my cable DVR run in the HDMI3 port. the receiver is connected to the tv from the HDMI out and optical 3. When use AnyNet+ to turn on the receiver the audio goes to optical. setup will only let me set audio to optical 1-3 or coax (not HMDI). How do I make the audio default to HMDI.

I purchased a Samsung HW-C700B 7.2 A/V Receiver, but it did not come with any subwoofers. What wattage should I look for or what type of subwoofer should I purchase to optimize this system? Thanks.

I also have a Samsung 5.1ch blu-ray home theater system and the wires on the subwoofer do not fit the receiver outlets?

I have had an issue with this in the past while trying to connect a media center (captiveworks 3000hd) to the amp. I used the dvi to hdmi cable to carry the video and a set of stero cable to carry the audio. IO was only able to get one to work at a time. I eitehr got video and no audio or audio and nmo video. With the wii hook up i can only get audio no video at all so far. wires have been verified to work on another tv. I am using the sat connection in the back of the amp for the rgb hook up and the sat rw connects for the audio. I think i have all the info here, if you need any more specifics just let me know

Cable box has both HDMI and optical outputs.

Cable box is currently connected via HDMI to tv and via optical output to AVR.

I have an HDMI cable from AVR Out into the TV HDMI 1 slot.

I cannot plug HDMI directly from cable box into AVR and get a signal on tv (no audio or video). It says nothing connected.

By this configuration, on the AVR I get two sources for watching cable tv. One says TV Direct and the other says TV Optical. In the direct mode, I only receive sound from 2 speakers (front right/left) but in the optical mode, I receive sound from all speakers (4 surround, 1 center and bass).

When I turn on the equipment, the AVR automatically starts at TV Direct. When I try to switch to TV Optical most times it stops at the DVD Mode (and turns on the DVD player, etc. In order to get out of DVD, I have to turn it off and start all over again).

I am using the optical cables from both the cable box and the blue ray player b/c this is what the instructions appear to mandate for Anynet function.

I have tried to plug the cable HDMI directly into the AVR with and without the use of the optical cable but it does not fix this problem.

I would like to experience all of the functions promised by Samsung when I bought all of these pieces : tv, AVR and blue ray. However they do not function as described. what are your thoughts? Thank you.

I have purchased the Samsung HW-C700B and would like to use a wireless sub. Is it possible to do that with this receiver?
