I'm sorry to hear that you did not receive the wall bracket included with your system.

If unit was sold as brand-new, contact the Samsung customer service Center at 1.800.SAMSUNG and explain the situation. It's quite possible that they'll be able to assist you further.

If the unit was refurbished or bought as an open box unit, you may need to order the wall mount bracket separately. You can do this at the www.Samsungparts.com website or by calling the Samsung parts department directly at 1-800-627-4368.

Be sure to remove the clear plastic protector tips from the ends of the cable (i had the same issue and went the web to find outthey were there). Pay close attention to the shape of the connection, it is not square, one side is slightly rounded.

I had the same issue. The ends of the optical cable have "SMALL" clear end protectors on them that make them look like part of the cable (they even fit inside the optical connector on the TV/sound system). Most people aren't familiar enough with optical cables to know what they should look like and the instructions for the TV, sound bar or home theater system don't instruct you to remove these clear protector ends. Instructions should state this and I have advised on-line Samsung personnel that this should be revised in instructional literature. Actually this a "engineering-goff" since if the clear protector design was modifed to make it larger so it could not fit into the connector or it was made to look like a protector instead of part of the cable, users would not have this issue.

The ends have small, clear plastic tips covering the ends. These have to be removed first. Very freustrating that the directions don't explain this step.

The optical cable should be able to be plugged in directly into your sound bar, (digital input 1 or 2). It can be tricky getting the groves lined up right so the cable will insert. If you are referring to the TV end of the connection that depends on your TV. I had a short optical adapter cable that came with my Samsung TV. Double check all the stuff that came with your TV as you may have an adapter already.

depends on what your audio output connections are, if you have on optical output on your device (tv, dvd, blu-ray, etc.) then use that for best quality. other wise use the supplied analog cable and simply match the colors.

i dont know exactly whats going on, but if it is just cinemax then it is the channel. if all your audio sounds like that with everything, you might have a defective soundbar. also, you might have a sound mode on by accident. you may turn this off by pressing the sound mode button on the remote until the sound mode is "pass" always happy to help. P.S. if you are still unclear, ask me to leave another comment. Happy Listening :)

Question

samsung hw-c451 soundbar usage only?

If I were to disconnect the samsung hw-c451 wireless subwoofer and only use the soundbar, would this cause any mechanical issues with the soundbar? I really do not have room for the subwoofer, but I do not want to damage the soundbar unit. Also, would I need (should I need) to change any settings with sole usage of the soundbar unit? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

It would not hurt anything all you have to do to disconnect the sub is to unplug it. There is no specific settings you would need to change to accomplish this. The sound setting would be changed depending on your preference

Question

sound bar has power, does not produce any more sound.

Out of the blue, while watching TV the sound bar just cut out and has stopped producing sound. I checked that it was on 1.1 (I do have the contested issue of it switching itself to 1.2). Just unexplained complete loss of sound.
Very well pampered. Volume never turned up very loud. Always made sure it turns on/off with TV. Always made sure the optical cable was seated properly.

I do not believe you can use headphones as it is not technically an output device meaning, it does't produce sound. It can only have sound fed through it. Let me know if you verify this..
