Thank you for contacting Samsung.

You need to make sure that the audio setting on your cable box/DVR is set to the surround sound or digital audio option. With it connected to your home theater, it should allow the unit to process the incoming audio. If you need additional assistance, we suggest you consult the manual that came with your cable/satellite device or contact the service provider.

We also suggest you review the System Setup section of your home theater's product manual beginning on page 58.

How do I reset wireless receiver?

Wireless receiver won't connect to main unit. I tried resetting the ID and pressing the button on the back of the wireless receiver but the receiver remains on standby.

while the receiver is off grab the remote. Press 0135 in that order. If done correctly the system will cut on and do a reset on the wireless speakers.

How do you get TV sound through Home Theater system?

We have followed manual instructions, have purchased an optical cable with no luck. We can get the sound through the system when playing DVD's and CD's, radio, but cannot get TV sound through the system speakers

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Home Theater system.

With the optical cable connected to the TVs output and the Home Theater system's input, try setting your audio speakers to "External" in the TV's menu. In some cases, changing to "External" speakers will initiate the optical port and send signals. Without knowing which TV you have, it's difficult to give directions on how to do this, but it should be available information in the user's manual.

At this time, there are no user replaceable parts available that include a fan assembly. If the unit needs service, I recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

Question

Does the wireless connection box ever go bad?

My wireless connection seems to be going bad. The back speakers seem to be cutting in and out. The speakers are fine and the wires are fine. The main box says check rear speakers every once and awhile, which makes me feel that the wireless connection box is going bad.

It could be wireless interference in the room. Try checking to see if you have any nearby CFL lamps, wireless phones, or other wireless devices that might be causing interference.

Sometimes just moving around equipment will allow the speakers to keep the connection.

If you believe that this is still a problem beyond possible interference, try contacting the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

WHEN I PLACE A DISC IN THE DVD PLAYER AN ERROR COMES UP THAT SAY DISC ERROR

I HAD THIS PROBLEM ONCE BEFORE AND I RESET THE SYSTEM BY PRESSING THE STOP BUTTON WHILE IT WAS TRUNED OFF. THAT WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND NOW WILL NOT WORK AT ALL.

Might be that ur playing a dvd with the wrong region or also the wrong format. Check the disc and make sure it is compatible.

because your wireless rear speakers are not connected. I you are not using anymore disconnect the wireless card.

We have never been able to get the wireless receiver and speakers to work so it has just sat here for 4 yrs and has not been used. We plugged it in today for only the 3rd time ever and there is no power. What could be wrong?

It may be in the home theater system is not set with the proper audio track set (stereo on a 5.1 system, or 5.1 setting on a stereo system). If this is the case, try changing the audio option in the player. You might also try to make sure that you select the proper audio channel of the disc's menu as well.

It could also be that the center channel speaker is disconnected either at the back of the receiver, or at the speaker connections, since the center channel handles most of the voices in a 5.1 surround sound setup.

What is the part number for the internal fan on the HT-TZ512T

My product is out of warranty so I removed the fan to purchase a new one. The fan in the unit stopped working after turning on and off for several months. Now, I have misplaced the fan and I need someone to kindly look at their same unit and tell me the part number for the little fan. Samsung does not have this information to give me.
