Netflix

I am able to logon to every other Ap with no issues, except Netflix. Instead of the screen asking if I have an account it says it cannot connect.

I had this same problem. My setup- Directv opitical to player/component to tv for video, hdmi player to tv. I tried changing all the 3d sound and sound effect settings and the equallizer was still grayed out. I even reran the initial setup. Finally I called, they didn't have any further steps for me and told me to do a reset. Press and hold the stop button on the front of the box. It worked for me the equalizer is back.

Question

surround sound not working with allshare play while listening to mp3s using a NAS/cloud

I just purchased the HT-EM45 home entertainment system 2 days ago and I was wondering how to get complete surround sound while playing mp3s off my NAS/cloud using the allshare play option,currently its only playing off the front speakers,center channel and SubWoofer. I ran through all the settings to see if there was an option but had no luck fixing this issue.I also checked all my connections and did a sound check to make sure all speakers were in working order. Any help would be great! Thanks!

To get sound to play out of all my speakers (it is a SURROUND system!), I use the 3D sound button. It is on the RIGHT, LOWER SIDE of the remote. You can scroll through it, setting sound comming out of all the speakers at high, med. and low or turn it off. It makes sound come out of all my speakers when anything is played.

I have a button on the BOTTOM, RIGHT side of the remote, called 3D sound. You can scroll through 3D sound- HIGH, MED, LOW, OFF. When I push that button, it plays ANYTHING out of ALL the speakers.

Question

Launch a SmartHUB app with remote (like you can with Pandora)

I am guessing this is not possible..but figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

I use one main app in SmartHUB called PLEX Media Server, and I hate having to launch SmartHUB then launch PLEX.

I'd like to reprogram a button such as the Disc2Digital button to launch PLEX instead. Is this possible?

Error Model Bind

Within 1 hour of unboxing this system, I run into this Error_Model_ Bind code that comes up everytime I try to access either an app like netflix, pandora, or any Internet feature. My connection is strong and is working when I check through network settings.

Question

No keyboard support for important apps

It's pretty silly that this device supports a USB keyboard but apps like YouTube and Vimeo do not; one is forced to pick characters off a menu.

WIll this get fixed in a future software update?

Hi Five! (LOL!),
I downloaded the Samsung remote app for my Galaxy Tablet, and my Galaxy S III. When I need keyboard support to log in, making purchases, etc., I go to the app on my phone/Tablet, and use it as a keyboard. It recognizes and syncs with my Samsung 3D- Blue Ray/Home theater system every time. You can scroll through the ENTIRE remote, and when you have to input information, it automatically turns into a keyboard that I type all the information in very easily. Works fantastic!

Web Browser does not work

It worked when I first got the player but now (probably after a software upgrade) it will not load and I get the error message "You don't have enough memory to download this Application"

Huh? There's almost nothing on the machine, how can it be out of memory???

That's simply a firmware upgrade which you can do through the machine itself. Be sure to reboot the BD player before trying again.

Go to the Samsung HUB, and download the various movie apps (VUDU, Netflicks, blockbuster, etc). The HUB comes up when you use the input button on the TOP RIGHT of the remote to switch functions (din-in, IPOD, FM, AUX, DVD player). When you move the DVD player to the DVD setting, the TV picture switches to the "HUB" screen. Then watch movies until your head explodes!

why does this only work with Samsung TVs

Bought a LG 47ls4600 LED TV and hooked the optical and the HDMI cable to the Samsung home entertainment product
LG speakers are off, audio out is optical Auto.
Samsung is set on D In.
No sound. Picture is great. Sound in all other modes except TV.

The issue is that you connected both the optical and HDMI cable at the same time. Optical only carries audio, but HDMI carries both audio and video. You need to choose which one you prefer. If optical, the D.IN setting is correct. If HDMI, set the home theater to HDMI and everything should function.

I have to reset the system in order to get smarthub to work

i have to go through the initial setup every day in order to get smarthub to work. do I have to leave the system on all the time in order for this to work properly?? I'm finding it ridiculous. Please help!

We're sorry to hear you're encountering this issue. With no discs in the player and the unit powered on, hold the STOP button on your remote to perform a hard reset of the device. This will require that you set up Smart Hub once more, but we also recommend you apply any firmware updates prior to re-configuring anything.
