Jim,

After some additional research online, I found this on Vizo's website.

Here is a list of remote control codes that may enable your remote control to work with your VIZIO TV.

3 Digit codes: 004, 502, 627

4 Digit codes: 0178, 1758, 0128, 1017

5 Digit codes: 10864, 01376, 00476, 00810, 00276, 01187, 01254

VIZIO also offers a line of universal remotes controls that come pre-programmed for your VIZIO TV. See our V.U.R. series of remotes controls in the accessories section of this website.

Did you get this to work? When I assembled my unit I did notice that the input connections for the front/center/sub speakers do not snap in, they just push in without much retention. I would hook them up and by time I put the unit in place one of the connections would come loose. Had to be pretty ginger with it but it worked out. Let us know what you found the problem to be with your speaker.

Samsung - I think the question is how do I rename the input Sources. I have HDMI1 connected to my WD Live Hub and HDMI2 is connected to my Raspberry PI. Instead of HDM1 & HDMI2, I'd like the Inputs to be named "WD Live" and "RaspPi"

Go to the Tools Menu on the TV and set the default to "Anynet+(HDMI-CEC). The receiver (if Samsung) will pick up the Anynet signal and adjust to HDMI 1

Whereas I enjoy Netflix on my ht-e5500w, the UI is far from intuitive and rather inefficient, antiquated and just down right unattractive. I have better navigation on my ipod touch or media center pc.

Question

How can I prurchase Apps from the Smart Hub through my BD player?

I can access and download the free apps, but the system cannot "see" or recognize the credit card registered to my account. All the support is geared toward systems with a Samsung Smart TV, which I do not own. Are Samsung accounts only available to BD systems with a "Samsung Smart" TV????????????????

Question

volume on samsung tv doesn't work now

Hi,
I connected the samsung HT-E5500W to my samsung ln52a630 tv about 6 weeks ago. it was working fine whether i used the HT-E5500W or the tv only to listen to audio. Ie. If I turned off the HT-E5500W , I could hear audio directly from my tv. However, yesterday, I turned off the HT-E5500W to listen to my tv only, but when i press the volume up or down key, the tv says "Not Available". Basically I don't get any audio from my TV. Please help. Thanks.

Question

Choppy Allshare Audio

Hello, first I love the speaker quality of this system!

However, I bought this system over others to use the Allshare program to stream content from my PC to this device. Currently I have tried playing numerous formats of content and all seem to have the same issue. The files begin to play normally, but after around 5-7 minutes, the audio starts to get choppy. This does not seem to be a buffering issue, even pausing for long periods of time does not resolve the issue. There is no change in data transfer rate or networking usage when the choppyness happens. Are there any solutions?

Uninstall and reinstall already done. High end gaming PC so processing is not the issue. Running on Wireless N from PC to router and wired from router to system.

Question

wireless rear speakers shut down

I have to continually unplug the rear wireless speakers to stop the red and blue lights to stop blinking together. Reboot the receiver , then the speakers work for awhile. There is only about a 10' separation between the player and receiver which worked well for several months.

On page 28 of your manual, it says the following:

You can connect a wireless USB keyboard or mouse to the USB port on the front of the product.

Keyboard Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB keyboard connected to the product. Please note that you can use the keyboard only when a QWERTY keyboard screen or
window appears in the Web Browser.

Mouse Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB mouse connected to the product. You can use the mouse in the product's menu in the same way you use a mouse on your PC.

To use a mouse with the product's menu:
1 . Connect the USB mouse to the product.
2 . Click the primary button you selected in Mouse Settings.
The Simple Menu appears.
3 . Click the menu options you want.

NOTE: Depending on the model of the USB HID keyboard and mouse may not be compatible with your product. Some HID keyboard keys may not work. Wired USB keyboards are not supported. Some applications may not be supported. If a wireless HID Keyboard does not operate because of interference, move the keyboard closer to the product.
