I just assembled my HT E5500W home theater. However, the center front speaker does not work. When I did the test for sound, nothing came out .
any suggestions. Perhaps, either the center speaker is defective or the wire connecting the center speaker to the receiver is defective????any way to find out which???

Did you get this to work? When I assembled my unit I did notice that the input connections for the front/center/sub speakers do not snap in, they just push in without much retention. I would hook them up and by time I put the unit in place one of the connections would come loose. Had to be pretty ginger with it but it worked out. Let us know what you found the problem to be with your speaker.

Samsung - I think the question is how do I rename the input Sources. I have HDMI1 connected to my WD Live Hub and HDMI2 is connected to my Raspberry PI. Instead of HDM1 & HDMI2, I'd like the Inputs to be named "WD Live" and "RaspPi"

Go to the Tools Menu on the TV and set the default to "Anynet+(HDMI-CEC). The receiver (if Samsung) will pick up the Anynet signal and adjust to HDMI 1

Question
How often are the smarthub apps updated?
Whereas I enjoy Netflix on my ht-e5500w, the UI is far from intuitive and rather inefficient, antiquated and just down right unattractive. I have better navigation on my ipod touch or media center pc.

How can I prurchase Apps from the Smart Hub through my BD player?
I can access and download the free apps, but the system cannot "see" or recognize the credit card registered to my account. All the support is geared toward systems with a Samsung Smart TV, which I do not own. Are Samsung accounts only available to BD systems with a "Samsung Smart" TV????????????????

Hi, I connected the samsung HT-E5500W to my samsung ln52a630 tv about 6 weeks ago. it was working fine whether i used the HT-E5500W or the tv only to listen to audio. Ie. If I turned off the HT-E5500W , I could hear audio directly from my tv. However, yesterday, I turned off the HT-E5500W to listen to my tv only, but when i press the volume up or down key, the tv says "Not Available". Basically I don't get any audio from my TV. Please help. Thanks.

I do not get any audio with my 5500 connected to the tv by hdmi as recommended in the manual. I only get sound if I connect a optical digital cable.
with digital cable in place i cannot get sound from my hdmi connected cd player unless i disconnect the digital cable. shouldnt the recommended hdmi connection give me both video and sound without needing digital cable?

We recommend you test the service via another computer (if you have another one). Beyond that, we recommend you uninstall AllShare, reboot and reinstall it. You may also wish to refer to this PDF guide for tips.
Hello, first I love the speaker quality of this system!
However, I bought this system over others to use the Allshare program to stream content from my PC to this device. Currently I have tried playing numerous formats of content and all seem to have the same issue. The files begin to play normally, but after around 5-7 minutes, the audio starts to get choppy. This does not seem to be a buffering issue, even pausing for long periods of time does not resolve the issue. There is no change in data transfer rate or networking usage when the choppyness happens. Are there any solutions?
Uninstall and reinstall already done. High end gaming PC so processing is not the issue. Running on Wireless N from PC to router and wired from router to system.

I have to continually unplug the rear wireless speakers to stop the red and blue lights to stop blinking together. Reboot the receiver , then the speakers work for awhile. There is only about a 10' separation between the player and receiver which worked well for several months.
