Did you get this to work? When I assembled my unit I did notice that the input connections for the front/center/sub speakers do not snap in, they just push in without much retention. I would hook them up and by time I put the unit in place one of the connections would come loose. Had to be pretty ginger with it but it worked out. Let us know what you found the problem to be with your speaker.

Jim,

After some additional research online, I found this on Vizo's website.

Here is a list of remote control codes that may enable your remote control to work with your VIZIO TV.

3 Digit codes: 004, 502, 627

4 Digit codes: 0178, 1758, 0128, 1017

5 Digit codes: 10864, 01376, 00476, 00810, 00276, 01187, 01254

VIZIO also offers a line of universal remotes controls that come pre-programmed for your VIZIO TV. See our V.U.R. series of remotes controls in the accessories section of this website.

Samsung - I think the question is how do I rename the input Sources. I have HDMI1 connected to my WD Live Hub and HDMI2 is connected to my Raspberry PI. Instead of HDM1 & HDMI2, I'd like the Inputs to be named "WD Live" and "RaspPi"

On page 28 of your manual, it says the following:

You can connect a wireless USB keyboard or mouse to the USB port on the front of the product.

Keyboard Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB keyboard connected to the product. Please note that you can use the keyboard only when a QWERTY keyboard screen or
window appears in the Web Browser.

Mouse Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB mouse connected to the product. You can use the mouse in the product's menu in the same way you use a mouse on your PC.

To use a mouse with the product's menu:
1 . Connect the USB mouse to the product.
2 . Click the primary button you selected in Mouse Settings.
The Simple Menu appears.
3 . Click the menu options you want.

NOTE: Depending on the model of the USB HID keyboard and mouse may not be compatible with your product. Some HID keyboard keys may not work. Wired USB keyboards are not supported. Some applications may not be supported. If a wireless HID Keyboard does not operate because of interference, move the keyboard closer to the product.

Why Can I not open the web browser?

I have tried to open the web browser apps Icon, but it say "You do not have enought memory to download this Application". I have not additional applications, just the "Recommended Apps (top bar)". The same issue when I attempt to open the "Samsung Apps" icon. The Smart Hub detail say: "Memory Usage: 268.21MB/268.21MB". WHY?

This is weird. Something is stuck in memory. Try opening each and every app on the bar. This may load new versions of them and free memory in the process. Wild guess, but it may work.

Another option (and popular): reboot. Just unplug it from the power and plug it back in.

Question

TV and Home Theater Connections

I purchased an HT-E5500W home theater and a UN55ES8000F Samsung TV. What is the best way to connect the two, so that I can use only one remote? I have a Tivo DirecTV receiver (uses HDMI) and an older DVD RW player that uses only component connections.

The HT-E5500 Will connect your UN55ES8000F Samsung TV and your Tivo DirecTV receiver fine via the HDMI inputs on the HT-E5500, they're are three on the rear which are selectable via the remotes TV source button. If your older DVD RW has and Optical Output and Audio Outs, the HT-E5500 will accept it, but not the component cables. Those are RGB video outputs for Component Video, the RCA connectors on the HT-E500 rear are for Audio.

We recommend you make sure to download the update from the following website. The firmware update you need to download is the 1012.5 file.

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HT-E5500W/ZA

Please refer to the instructions below for prepping the firmware file:

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=408489&modelname=HT-E5500W

If you continue to encounter issues, you also have the option of burning the firmware to a CD.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. In order to get sound to come from the TV, this is dependent on the port available on your TV. Here's our connection guide: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=415663&modelname=HT-E5500W&modelcode=HT-E5500W%2FZA

As far as all of content being in Spanish, we'll be happy to assist you with your problem, but we'll need more information to answer your question. Please contact us at qasupport@sea.samsung.com and let us know what video sources are in Spanish and if they are always in Spanish. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Question

remote question

Our new Samsung surround system has a similar remote as our Samsung LED tv. The tv is turning itself off when we use the new remote to turn on the surround sound system. Is there a way to separate the two remotes and make each one control only one device? Use the tv remote for only the tv, and use the surround sound remote only for the surround sound? We can manually turn a system on, but it's annoying. Thanks.

Question

Choppy Allshare Audio

Hello, first I love the speaker quality of this system!

However, I bought this system over others to use the Allshare program to stream content from my PC to this device. Currently I have tried playing numerous formats of content and all seem to have the same issue. The files begin to play normally, but after around 5-7 minutes, the audio starts to get choppy. This does not seem to be a buffering issue, even pausing for long periods of time does not resolve the issue. There is no change in data transfer rate or networking usage when the choppyness happens. Are there any solutions?

Uninstall and reinstall already done. High end gaming PC so processing is not the issue. Running on Wireless N from PC to router and wired from router to system.
