Did you get this to work? When I assembled my unit I did notice that the input connections for the front/center/sub speakers do not snap in, they just push in without much retention. I would hook them up and by time I put the unit in place one of the connections would come loose. Had to be pretty ginger with it but it worked out. Let us know what you found the problem to be with your speaker.

Jim,

After some additional research online, I found this on Vizo's website.

Here is a list of remote control codes that may enable your remote control to work with your VIZIO TV.

3 Digit codes: 004, 502, 627

4 Digit codes: 0178, 1758, 0128, 1017

5 Digit codes: 10864, 01376, 00476, 00810, 00276, 01187, 01254

VIZIO also offers a line of universal remotes controls that come pre-programmed for your VIZIO TV. See our V.U.R. series of remotes controls in the accessories section of this website.

On page 28 of your manual, it says the following:

You can connect a wireless USB keyboard or mouse to the USB port on the front of the product.

Keyboard Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB keyboard connected to the product. Please note that you can use the keyboard only when a QWERTY keyboard screen or
window appears in the Web Browser.

Mouse Settings: Lets you configure a wireless USB mouse connected to the product. You can use the mouse in the product's menu in the same way you use a mouse on your PC.

To use a mouse with the product's menu:
1 . Connect the USB mouse to the product.
2 . Click the primary button you selected in Mouse Settings.
The Simple Menu appears.
3 . Click the menu options you want.

NOTE: Depending on the model of the USB HID keyboard and mouse may not be compatible with your product. Some HID keyboard keys may not work. Wired USB keyboards are not supported. Some applications may not be supported. If a wireless HID Keyboard does not operate because of interference, move the keyboard closer to the product.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Using your arrow buttons, move the cursor on the screen until you have 'clicked' on the appropriate area. A keyboard should display itself. Using the arrow buttons, type out what you'd like.

Alternatively, you could use an HID-compliant, USB keyboard. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

We recommend you press the Sound Effect button on your remote and then use the Up or Down arrow buttons until Dolby Prologic II is displayed on the LCD screen of the home theater. You should then use the Left or Right arrow buttons to cycle through the choices until Matrix or Prologic appear and select the one you prefer. There is a full description of these and the other simulated sound settings on page 48 of your product manual. If you manual is not handy, you can reference this PDF copy.

Question

Why do I continue to hear audio after I power off?

I don't have this issue every time I power off, but there have been several times in which audio comes from the front speakers after I have powered off. The audio will stop on its own after about 30 seconds (all while power remains off). Is there a fix for this?

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

Samsung Blu-ray players sold in the U.S. support Region 1 for DVD, and Region A for Blu-ray. While many DVD/Blu-ray players can be hacked to make them region-free so that they'll recognize and play discs from anywhere in the world, this process is not recommended by Samsung. The support team is not provided with this information. We must warn you to proceed with caution should you find a way to do this elsewhere online, as this is not considered an acceptable process under the 1-year warranty terms.

Question

Why won't the audio settings/speaker selection stay on TV?

When I want to listen to TV (or other source) at night, I prefer not to use the TV speakers as opposed to the home theater speakers. But if I change the audio setting/speaker selection to TV then exit to my HDMI input (TV), the speakers come on instead, ignoring my setting of TV output. Oddly, the only input that will use the TV speakers is CD. Why does it do this and how can I fix it to use the setting I select?

Question

NO MUSIC

When I first bought the HT-E5500W, I was fairly simple to set up and I had it streaming music and video from my Windows Home Server 2011 system almost instantly. As each firmware update comes along more things seem to stop working. Right now, the device can see videos and pictures on my Home Server but not the music. I believe this happened after going from version 9 to 11 of the firmware. I have Sony devices in the house that are streaming music from this source with no issues. For that matter, I have a Galaxy S III and I can play the music just fine to that device. What am I missing?

Question

remote question

Our new Samsung surround system has a similar remote as our Samsung LED tv. The tv is turning itself off when we use the new remote to turn on the surround sound system. Is there a way to separate the two remotes and make each one control only one device? Use the tv remote for only the tv, and use the surround sound remote only for the surround sound? We can manually turn a system on, but it's annoying. Thanks.
