Customer questions and answers for samsung HT-D6730W
Question
Missing speaker wires
I recently purchased the Samsung HT-D6730W home theater. However, when I went to hook it up, I noticed that it was missing the speaker wires for both the subwoofer and center speakers.
Rather than re-pack the entire thing and take it back to the store, can I just have a replacement set of wires sent to me for those 2 speakers?
Thanks,
David

No, You will know that the wireless receiver module is already connected to the main unit if it stays in solid blue. You can troubleshoot the blinking blue lights by doing the following:
1. turn off the player 2. while the unit is off, remove the tx card for 30 seconds 3. insert the tx card 4. while the unit is off, press 0-1-3-5 on the remote control (make sure that it is pointing towards the main unit) 5. press the id set button on the wireless receiver module for 5 seconds 6. if it blinks and turns to a solid blue light then it is already connected

It is true, I do not know how this system qualifies as a 7.1 system. I think it was a bad upgrade from the C6930 system. Regardless, I agree that this system is a glorified 5.1 system regardless of the additional speakers within the towers.

But of course you can, there have been no major actual technology changes to make a Blu ray home theatre system in compatible with a 3D TV.

To determine if your TV has ARC, it is usually labeled next to one of the HDMI inputs on the back of the TV. If you do not have your manual, just Google the model number of your TV and check the specs to see if your TV has ARC. The other method to hook up your TV is with a fiber optic cable located on the back of your TV.

Question
Dialog volume is too low
The center speaker is working. But the dialog volume is very low compared to all the other speaker output. Turning up the volume doesn't help because the other sounds (background music, etc) gets so unbearably loud.. I've tried bumping up the center channel volume and lowering the other channels but it doesn't help much.
There are three speaker cones in the center channel speaker. The middle one doesn't vibrate. Is this the problem"

As you have taken all the necessary troubleshooting steps I would have suggested, your device will likely need servicing. Please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, or if you want to come through a social media channel, we have a couple options for you:
If you have a Twitter account, go here or to this URL: http://twitter.com/#!/samsungsupport Having a transaction number or model number and serial number handy ahead of time will be helpful.
If you have Facebook, go here to this URL: http://www.facebook.com/SamsungSupport Click on the "Support Form" button.
I believe 2D-3D conversion in HT-D6730 can convert 2D DVD/BD into 3D. Just wondering whether it can convert regular 2D video file (such as .mkv, .avi) and photos into 3D outputs. If not now, is it possible it can support 2D-3D conversion for 2D video files/photos in the near future via firmware updates?

Question
Receiver freezes
When I use the youtube app, the ht-d6730w receiver often freezes. I would have to turn off the receiver and turn it back on. This happens all the time. My internet is extremely fast so I know it is not a network issue. How can I fix this problem? Thanks.

To make it simple, check if your tv has an audio out port or a digital audio out port. if it does, connect the cable to the audio out or digital audio out port of the tv going to the aux in or digital audio in of the system. Press the function/source button on the remote control and select aux in for audio cable (red and white) or d.in for digital optical cable.

Question
How do I get the top, tallboy speakers to work?
The 3D, top tallboy speakers generate no sound except when doing the test with the test-tone. Since this is a modular connection, why won't the speakers - which can be adjusted directionally, work?

Question
Home theater keeps tries switch the input source sometimes
I bought a Samsung HT-6730W home theater system and a Samsung UN55D8000 55" LED TV. I have comcast cable. I have an HDMI cable hooked up from the cable box to the HDMI IN of the home theater. I then have the home theater system connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. The HDMI cables are Monster brand cables.
At certain times the home theater system goes to the input selection screen. It shows Digital-IN and I can cycle through the inputs.
For example. If on the TV (not on the home theater system) I perform an internet search. The Search results show up on the screen for about 2 seconds and then the screen goes black and the home theater system pops up the input selection screen (digital-in and I can cycle). When I cycle back to HDMI-1 the search results are no longer up.
I think what happens is when the search results come up it tries to put a small TV window on that screen. I see the cable box display "DU1" just before the search window disappears. I think for some reason the HDMI connection is being reset and the cable box is slow to provide the signal back to the home theater system. The home theater system not seeing a signal immediately switches back to the input screen.
It does this exact same thing when I first turn the TV on. I turn the home theater on, then the TV on. I think the the home theater does a "reset" of the video when the TV comes on. The cable box shows "DU1" and then takes a couple seconds to resume sending the signal. The home theater does not see the signal so dumps me into input selection screen.
Please help, this is really painful to use like this. I love the TV and home theater system but will have to return it if there is no solution.

I have the same setup and the same problem. HT-6730W home theater system paired with a UN55D8000 TV and a Comcast Xfinity RNG200N cable box. When I first turn on the TV, Cable and receiver, I see video from my last input for ~5-8 seconds, then the input automatically switches back to the first input on the Samsung receiver. I have Anynet+ and BD Wise turned ON.
When I turn Anynet+ off, I think the problem goes away. However this is really annoying especially since the Xfinity remote cannot control the 6730, or even the volume.
Did you ever find a solution?

You really can't since the receiver can only play audio/video from one source at a time. You would have to run the audio from your iPod through another device, such as a speaker dock separate from the Home Theater unit.
