Question

When I power my tv/sound system on, or change inputs on sound system, the sound then echos.

I have been getting an echo sound when I either power on my tv/sound system or if I change the inputs on the player. It used to never do this, and for some reason now does it often. To get the sound back to normal, I either have to turn off the sound system and turn the volume all the way down- and switch back and forth between inputs. Sometimes I have to completely turn it off. I have it set up where it must be on HDMI. IN2 to play my TV and movies plays on DIN.

If you read in your user manual for ur surround sound it tells you that if sound and video are not matching up it go into your setup and adjust the AV Sync.

I have the same issue, and the AV Synch does not correct it, as the delay is coming from the system, and is slower than the video. The AV Synch needs to go into the negative to make it match; which it does not. Hopefully there will be an update for it, because it kind of defeats the point of having good sound if it doesn't synch with the video. I already have high end HDMI cables and wired the unit properly; so it is definitely an issue with the system.

Question

Is there an Upgrade for Netflix to not ONLY show Instant queue?

Would like to be able to browse movie genres from the Blu ray device instead of having to add movies from a computer to the instant queue. MAJOR inconvenience. XBOX 360, Wii, and PS3 have this option. Why not Samsung Blu ray?

Actually, the current Netflix APP does allow browsing and adding to instant queue. Just make sure you're connected to the INTERNET and then launch the Internet@TV and the APPS should update.

You may also need to update the HT-C6930W's firmware. I don't recommend using the auto-update feature unless you intend to use it for update notification only. Use the download to PC and USB flash-drive method to update the main firmware to avoid corruption issues, especially when using a wireless connection to the HT-C6930W.

I dont think the firmware update or any other update changes the way Netflix works on this device. I have seen other blue ray DVD players having the capabilities similar to Wii. Just this model does not seem to have the capability. If anyone knows why, I am here to listen.

The DirecTV remote control has its own set of code banks. basically what this means is that they assign different codes for different manufacturers products into their remote. While our codes are used, we don't have any control on which numbers are assigned to them.

The best recommendation I can make is to contact DirecTV to see if they can provide a list of codes that might work with your system. If one is available, they should be able to give details on their code selections.

answer 2
The HTiB can be controlled via Directv remote but will not power-up automatically with the Directv main power on/off buttons. Some remote codes that work on the 65 series remotes are 31868 and the others may only accept 31500. (Found the code by placing the RC65RX in IR mode to utilize the IR receive mode for code recommendation for Audio Equipment/Samsung/BluRay Player>>Receive Code via IR then switching back to RF mode.) The Directv remotes come with a dedicated User Guide which is a useful reference tool for adding new devices.

If you're using a Samsung TV with Anynet HDMI-CEC enabled and it works to your satisfaction, I'd recommend volume locking the Directv remote to TV (This will enable the TV to control the HTiB when it's powered-up but still revert to TV volume when HTiB is powered down w/o having to slide the slider to TV mode). Either way you decide, slide the selector switch to the device that you want to lock the volume button to and press/hold both mute and select until the LED above the device flashes, then press volume-up. If you still want the other device to have volume control when slider selects it, move the slider to the device's corresponding slider position and press/hold mute and select and press volume-down.

If you read the wireless module it says they are the surround speakers (and the color label on the bottom of the speakers match up with the color cables) I didn't pay too much attention to the manual as the surround speakers should be placed to the side (90-110 degrees to the right and left of your listening point while you are looking at the TV), the rear/surround speakers that hook up to the 6930 receiver should go either above your tall boy speakers (3D setup) or directly behind you per the visual diagram when in the audio settings on the C6930W

If there is only one 6930 then I would have to say that my HT-C6930W comes with a wireless card built it. Assuming that, why would you want to add another wireless link module into your unit?

Settings>Network> somewhere in there should be your choice of wired or wireless...mine took a total of 3 minutes to setup on the network, but then again I had to reconfigure it one or twice back to wireless after my initial setup, but it kept all my encryption settings.

If your TV has a headphone-jack, a simple fix is to go to Settings/Audio/HDMI Audio and enable it (ON). This will only be enabled if the TV is connected via HDMI but with two buts: the default is off so when powering the HT-C6930W off/on, the audio returns to stereo speakers. The other but is that there is no audio to the HT-C6930W's speakers with HDMI Audio enabled. Some TVs will defeat the TV speakers when the jack is plugged-in, mine doesn't so TV speakers can be used if others are listening while headphones are used.

If TV has no headphone jack, another solution would be to add a HDMI switch that includes audio-out to TOSLINK and headphone-jack such as item # 5557 at the website monoprice dot com

How do I launch any of the music entries on the Pandora Menu?

My HT-6930W HTS HDMI output cable is directly connected to input HDMI2 on the UN55C8000FX Led TV.
User and password accounts are setup.
The UN55C8000FX TV remote controller's Internet Button will launch the Internet Display and the Pandora App. The HT-6930 HTS controller's Internet Button does not function.

I can safely assume that both your TV and your receiver have the Internet TV functions. Depending on which one you are using, I would think that you would need to specify (via remote) which Internet TV device you are using, by using the BD/TV button. It should light Yellow on the first press and Green on the second. This also might require you to program your remote to your TV as well. you can find this in the manual that came with your receiver or an online copy.

Congratulations on your new home theater system.

If the package was a new package, you may want to discuss your options with your retailer. If it was an open box or returned unit, then additional parts, such as remote controls and manuals, can be ordered at the www.Samsungparts.com website.

The manual can be ordered in paper format from an additional cost at the above website, or you can download the .PDF version off the www.Samsung.com/support website for free.

Try changing the Home Theater system to the "Home Theater Mode" rather than the "TV mode" using the toggle button located right under the Power button.

See the attached file. Try pressing the button twice in a row.

If it flashes Orange, it will control the Home Theater.
If it flashes Green, it will control the TV>

Question

Freezes and skips during Blu Ray playback

My new system seems a little buggy when playing some of my Blu Ray discs.
During the movie I here the player making adjustments then the screen will freeze and even fast forward by itself.
Today it did it during my playing of Iron Man 2, which I just opened today.
Is this a common occurrence and will there be a future update to help fix this?

I had that problem also. Many people have complained about it believing the unit is faulty, but it's not. It's just a little sensitive. I found that at some point in time when the tray opens and gets stuck for whatever reason i.e. not placing the disc correctly; possibly pushing the tray too hard, abruptly closing when placing the disc and jamming, etc.... Any of those things will throw the laser and servo out of whack. The remedy is to open the tray and power off the unit. Do not put a disc in when you do this. When you power off the unit the tray will automatically close and reset itself. After it has fully shut itself down, turn the power back on. Hope this helps.
