Question

3d dvd freezes

how many of you can't play some 3d dvds. I would like to start a class action lawsuit to get our equipment replaced or repaired. Firmware has not been updatted since 2010. If some of you purchased new players because of this problem I would like to know as well.

Let's make this Samsungs problem. they are not giving us the support expected when we purchased their products with our hard earned money.

I'm not sure if it's just 3D. Any blue ray I watch 80% (guessing could be 60-85) stops or skips around 45- 80 minutes.

If you do hear something, please let me know.

You'll need an audio cable to route the audio from either the cable set-top-box or the TV to the HT-C6900W audio input. One way is to use an optical audio cable from the TV to the HT. That way you can also get surround sound from broadcast HDTV channels you tune in on the TV. Or you can route the optical audio from the cable to the HT if you don't care about the broadcast TV audio.

If you desperate to save a couple bucks and the cable box has an analog audio output you can connect it to the AUX input of the HT with a stereo RCA cable, but you won't get high quality digital audio or surround sound with this configuration.

Not all manufactures will have codes that are represented in the owners manual. We offer the codes for a large array of television manufacturers, and while we are able to offer a wide selection, not all manufacturers or all products will be available.

In this case this particular manufacturer is not supported, as codes are not available in the manual.

Question

how to use USB feature??

I want to play music from the usb device.
you need to stay at the main menu of the home theater, turn on yout tv, and later plug in the usb device.
so on the tv appears the message "want to connect the device", so you say yes with the control remote.
later start to explore the folders of the usb, and play some song.
I just can play the song of the folder that I select...
I read the user manual and is not detailed info about this.

I will always need the tv turned on when I want to play songs from my usb device?

Question

6900W setting up wireless rear speakers

Trying to set up my new home-theater system with wireless rear speakers... 6900W... however, the manual seems to indicate that the speakers have to be connected to wireless box. What am I missing, as that would defeat the purpose of them being wireless? Thanks, ann.

Your are reading the manual correctly. They are wireless, their is no wire connecting the rear speakers to the main system, just to the sending and receiving wireless box.

I called Samsung about this too and they said that I needed to disengage (turn off) Anyshare - I think that was what it was called. After I did that, then whatever output I was last using (say, HDMI 2) when I turn the unit off is the output that it defaults to when turned back on. Hope that helps.

Question

Why does my device only find the 2.4Ghz wireless connection and not the 5.0Ghz connection of my Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router?

We have checked, rechecked, and rechecked settings, security, etc. etc. Our device is useless to us if we cannot stream movies. Our Netgear Router is the WNDR3700 and should work no problem with streaming movies.

Also, in general we have been GREATLY disappointed with our Samsung device and this will actually be the first of many questions/calls before we ultimately decide whether to take it back.

The HT-c6900 is only capable of connecting to Wireless N at 2.4GHz. It cannot connect at 5 GHz. (It can connect to wireless G at 2.4 GHz but why would you want to - online video connection would be slow enough to cause even more problems.

I have the same problem. Netflix works on our PCs and Playstation, but is downright unbearable on Samsung Home Theater. Netflix says my connection is slow, and when I run the Samsung speed test, I do get a much lower reading than when I do a speed test on my PC. My guess is the Samsung internet interface is junk.

To connect the speakers, follow the instructions listed in the user manual for connecting all of the devices to the Home Theater system.

For connecting to a TV, you can use composite cables (good), component cables (better) or HDMI (best) for video playback.

The codes assigned by cable company, satellite company, or other devices are signed by the remote manufacturer. They assign different numbers for different products. We don't have access to the codes or how they are organized.

One other option to consider is a Logitech Harmony remote, as they have many of our code banks stored and update the remote control for new devices as they come out. Since most devices don't update as new products come to market, this may be an option worth considering.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time finding a code to control the volume with the Time Warner remote.

Most cable and satellite companies assign code banks to their own remote controls. Unfortunately, you have to contact the cable provider to see which code they've assigned for Samsung products.

Thanks for your support of Samsung products.

Question

HTC6900W?

I just purchased a home theater system earlier today and connected it to our Samsung TV model LN52B630. Sounds amazing and enjoying it greatly, but we've come to a problem. Would like to be able to switch from 5.1 to TV speakers too. We have tried to turn HDMI audio on, but it will not stay on. You can't just turn the receiver off because it turns the TV off too. We figured out how to disable Anynet, but it turns back on after turning the tv off and then back on.

I'm sorry I'm answering this is from 20 months ago.

I'm not an expert with AnyNet, but I have a suggestion.

Make sure the TV and the Receiver or Player is not on AnyNet.

In my experience sometimes devices make other devices do things they souldn't. If the Anynet is still on te Receiver/Player it may be telling the TV to do the same.

Hope this helps.
