Depends on your setup. The easiest way would be to HDMI all your devices into your TV then using the using the HDMI out or the digital Optical out port from your TV, hook it up into the HDMI in or OPtical in on your sound reciever. Make sure you mute your TV or go into sound options and tell if you are using a sound reciever.

No, don't do what babi143 suggests as that has a MAXIMUM or only 2Channels (at least with this system). Plug them into this system via HDMI. Only two ports so if you have another device might have to buy a switcher or simply unplug and swap each time you switch to the third device.
Don't hook it up to your TV and then use optical out unless it's your last option (third or 4th device kind of thing). That will only allow 2 channel sound. Hook at least one of the devices up to the second HDMi port. And you can either buy and HDMI switcher or just swap out the HDMI cables out of the back if convienent. (otherwise get a switcher box). Combination of that???
Why does my HT-C6730W drop it's network connection every 30-40 minutes?
I've connected my Samsung HT-C6730W Blu-ray player to my Motorola SBG901 wireless cable modem via a Linksys WET610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Bridge. While watching Netflix and Vudu, the connection drops after 30-40 minutes. Turning off the player and turning it back on re-establishes the connection without touching the network gear. This suggests that it's not the modem or the bridge. Any thoughts on how to solve this issue?

There may be a setting in your router that times out after 30 to 40 min.
You may want to consult your router's customer service to determine if there is a timeout setting or firewall issue that might be causing the connection to drop after 30 minutes. Typically with that information, they should be all to pinpoint the setting and assist you in adjusting it.
We appreciate your support of Samsung products hope that this enhances your enjoyment.
Even though you say its not the modem or the bridge, the fact that you say when you restart the player re-establishes might be saying the opposite. A prior request of checking your router (modem) manufacturer for settings is a good idea, also I would say as a suggestion to set up a static ip for your ht-c6730w on your modem, this way your router doesn't get confused when it tries to re-establish a connection once the connection is dropped.

At the bottom of the remote, the middle button press PL 11. When the Reciever says DLP 11 those speakers will work and the surround sound speakers connect to the wireless device will be disconnected. If you press that button and it says off then the wireless device speaker are on aka surround sound. One weird thing is if the DLP 11 is displayed, and the TV program, Movie or Cable provider is broadcasting a true 7:1 surround then they all work.

Read the Version 2.0 Manual if you don't have it (find it on this site). It all depends on your settings. If it's 7.1 material then it Should play out those back speakers OR if you turn on one of the DPL modes designed to take 2 channel or + and play it out all the speakers. Read the manual it describes this pretty clearly in the charts.

You didn't really provide enough information there... so are you using Over the air or are you using a cable from the wall, just no cable STB?
If your TV has ARC you could connect it via your (Audio Return Channel) -ARC outputting HDMI to this receiver on the same cable that sends the video normallyfrom the HTIB.. It's been a while since I read the manual so I can't really remember whether this model supports ARC or not.
If you don't have ARC or if this unit doesn't support it then digital optical / we be the next best. Can't remember if this has digital coax either but that would be another option.
Lastly and worst sounding would be Composite (RCA) output from your TV to the HTIB.

make sure your using the longest wires in the package for your rear speakers. they go about 30 feet. the 10 foot wires should hook up to the wireless speakers about 10 feet long
you need to connect the rear speakers to the rear wireless module with the speaker wire included in the box and the rear wireless module needs to be pluged in the receive a signal.

Yes, the reason for this is that the BD-Receiver/TV button was pressed twice. This button has 2 modes of operation depending on the color it flashes when you press any button on the remote. If the BD-Receiver/TV button flashes green then it is in TV mode and if it flashes orange then it is in BD Receiver mode. The way to switch between the 2 modes is simple but not intuitive and easily not noticed. Simply press the BD-Receiver/TV button it will light-up green or orange, depending on what mode it is in, for about 1 second. The trick is to quickly press it again BEFORE the light goes out. When this is done the color of the light will change. If it was green it will change to orange and vice versa. Rember, Orange = BD Receiver function Green = TV

Using Harmony One remote with Samsung HT-6930W Home Theater and PN58C8000 Television
I do not have the s/n on my device, however I have the Harmony One remote. I recently purchased the Samsung PN58C8000 3-D Plasma TV and also have it hooked up to a Samsung HTC6930W 7.1 Channel 3D Blue Ray Home Theater System. The TV must be on HDMI.1, and the Home Theater has to be on HDMI.IN 1, however when I press "Watch TV", it will turn everything on, however it will change the Home Theater to D.IN. I went back in and re-set up the activity and got the most recent software, but it keeps changing the Home Theater input back to D.IN, instead of HDMI.IN 1. When I first turn it on, it goes to the right input, but changes a few seconds later. Is there something I can do to fix that, rather than having to use the help function on the remote everytime I turn the system on?

I have a similar setup and noticed D. IN is default. I think it's the Anynet HDMI/CEC connection that does that. Anynet is supposed to be intuitive but it may be necessary to disable it on the TV and receiver when programming a Harmony to be intuitive as well.
I also found no advantage in using HDMI input from my sat/cable source so I used the TOSLINK cable to D. IN from my satellite DVR for audio and ran HDMI direct from satellite DVR to TV and turned TV volume off which still allows audio to headphones as needed via the TV's headphone jack. As you've observed, I had no problem finding the audio using this setup. And the Anynet doesn't add any confusion to this setup either except for the annoying, return to TV tuner static when disconnecting from Receiver's Anynet connection.
Most firmware updates on the 2010 home theater systems takes about 10 minutes to update, depending on connection speed and how long it takes to download the update. Once is downloaded, it should take a few minutes to install.
I just purchased this system and connected it to my Samsung LN46A860S2F TV. My question is: I have connected my cable box, via Hdmi cable, to the home theater system, and then connected the home theater system, via Hdmi cable, to the TV. Should I be able to watch the TV without turning on the home theater system. I have not been able to make this work, and if it is possible I would like to know the settings I need to use. There are times I would like to watch the tv without using the home theater system.

use the PL II button to get the tv to sound the way you want the player is your receiver now so yes for sound it has to be on you could turn the hdmi audio to on and listen to audio through the tv speakers. Then you would have to switch the hdmi audio to off everytime you wanted to watch a movie and then switch it back when you want tv. Play with the PL II button and it offers several different sound fields including tv in 7.1
i bought the HT-C6730W and have messed with the audio options on it. My question is, does the blu ray disk itself decide the audio options to play? As in certain movies will allow 3 settings, some will allow 6, etc... Also, I am using an optical cable to broadcast my audio from my directv receiver through the system and it is substantially quieter than when on Blu Ray. Is there a setting I need to look at for this or is there nothing I can do about it?

If you are able to connect your home theater to the prior router, you may need to contact the customer service center of your router's manufacturer for connectivity assistance. They would be able to assist with settings and defaults associated with the router that you just purchased.

The only way I know of is to go into Settings/Audio and enable (ON) the HDMI audio. If you're using the HDMI to TV and the TV has an audio jack or audio out that you can adapt to, your headphones will work and the audio out of BD player to speakers will be disabled. Unfortunately, there is no HDMI pass-through; therefore, external devices (HDMI1 and HDMI2) need their own input to TV or headphones. For that reason, I moved my satellite receiver from the BD player back to TV and used a TOSLINK cable for audio (D-In) to the BD player for the sound through speakers. HDMI pass-through and a headphone jack or audio out would have been nice, if included, but it appears the switching of HDMI audio is the only option.
HDMI Audio is only temporary until turned (off) in settings or power cycling the BD Player.
i have the cable TV connected to HDMI input 1. but every time i turn on the home theater and the cable box after 10 seconds the input automaticaly changes input to somthing called "D link". once i change the input back to HDMI1 it stays until the next time that i turn on my home theater system. how do i get this to stop?

This is an inherent issue with this unit apparently, only solution i've found is hooking up the cable tv box to the unit through optical audio (which is what "D link" is) and then hook up the cable box directly to your tv through HDMI .. Downside to this is you will be limited to two channel audio, so you wont be able to hear surround sound stations from some sources that have it.

How long should it take for a Blu-ray disc to load?

if you are hooked up to the internet and BD-Live it can take that long be patient or disable bd-live still takes longer than a DVD
I recently hooked up my new Samsung HC-C6730W/XAA, Samsung 52" HD tv (I don't have model # handy but its about 2 years old now) and our Charter DVR. The surround sound/blu-ray player worked great for about 10 days and then I got a message saying a firmware update was needed on the 6730. Its now been updating for almost 72 hours, with periodic 5 second tones and the front screen continously saying UPDATE. The system is hooked up through my wireless (and secured) router thru Charter internet. I cannot find anything on the Samsung support forums nor can I reach anyone at support.
If anyone can lend assistance, I'd be grateful as I'd really like to watch a DVD again!
I've also posted this on CNET's Samsung forum to see if anyone there has an answer...

no 3D movies have a different format and the lens cannot pick up the format for 3D disc and will only play blu-ray movies and not 3D blu-ray movies and the system needs to be upgraded to a 3D blu-ray system.
