Question

HT-C6600 has had update on the screen for days

It will not finish updating, when you go into settings only the left right arrows work, not up and down. The tray won't open. I tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for a while, comes right back to the update thing.

I’m sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Blu-ray player.

I’d recommend trying to reset the unit by turning the unit on and making sure that the disc tray is empty. Then, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. Then, go through the initial setup and power down the unit. Then, try and restart the unit and you should have proper operation.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Or you can also call them directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

We appreciate your support of Samsung products, and we look forward to assisting you.

Question

how do I reset HT C6600?

My brand new HT C6600 System does not recognize the wireless network adapter that came with it. I called Samsung support and we tried to reset the unit, but it was clear we were not doing this correctly. How do I reset the unit?

And/or, if anyone has a solution for the wireless LAN adapter issue that would be more helpful.

Thank you,

Make sure there are no discs in the player and hold the STOP button for 5 seconds. It will reset the system and put EVERYTHING back to default settings. It's like starting over.

When updates are rolled out by an App owner like Netflix, the old versions are uninstalled so that new versions can be installed. Netflix is available as a download from the “Video” section of Apps on applicable Samsung Blu-Ray players, and it is always available for download if it wasn’t automatically installed or updated on your player (provided you live in a region where Netflix is available, and your player supports the Netflix App).

If you are still unable to install Netflix, or the App has disappeared and you aren't able to find it in the Apps section, please reach out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG or speak with one of our technicians at the chat link below:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

We’re committed to quality customer care, so if we can assist, please reach out.

Thanks for your continued support of Samsung products!

Try using the different sound modes available, such as "Matrix". Those will allow 2-channel audio signals to be sent to the other speakers.

When you are on the Home page of the blu-ray go to the Configuration icon or Settings (It would be the first one on the right) click on the icon, scroll down to NETWORK under network set up it should ask you if you have a wireless or wired connection. (make sure there are no wired cables connected to the blu-ray and that your modem and wireless router are working properly.) On your modem make sure all lights are SOLID GREEN the only light that should be blinking Green is the ACTIVITY one. You could unplug your blu-ray for 30 seconds from the wall outlet and plug it back in. Turn it on, on your controll click on ( FUNCTION TV SOURCE) top right button. Click on Configuration or Settings icon, scroll down to NETWORK under Network Configuration choose wireless it will then scan to all the available networks, choose your corresponding network if you have a security key enter it and press the enter button or the button in the middle of all the arrows. You should be set but you can test your network, see if it is actually working properly. Depending on your Network plan some of the applications might not work properly.

Question

HT-C6600 hangs while watching Netflix internet movie. What is the fix?

After about 5 minutes of watching a download movie on Netflix, the unit will hang while diplaying "retreiving" and "quality" bars. The only button on the remote that gets a response is Power. The unit will turn off. When the unit is turned back on, everything runs fine throughout the rest of the movie (an hour or more). Internet connection is via WiFi with a very strong signal (15 feet from router) and is plenty fast.

If you are using the wireless dongle via usb in the back of the unit then that maybe the problem. It happens to me most of the time. If you have the capability to use a wired connection from your router, that would work much better. Also, try to configure the wireless connection in the settings menu. This works for me every time the signal is dropped.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Blu-ray player.

I'm not sure what you mean by that it just "marks red and white".

I might recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG to see if they can assist with further troubleshooting.

If you'd like to reset the machine, press and hold the STOP button until it resets. This should be done while the machine is powered on and the disc tray is empty.

You may be able to, depending on the wireless headphones.

The Line-out of the television is not amplified, so the headphones will require an amplifier of their own (and a volume control) to work.

Question

HDMI display snaps in and out.

I purchased this HT System today and after hooking up all of my appliances I have noticed a problem with some of the HDMI outputs. Every so often the display will disconnect and then show back up. I have a samsung TV as well. Could this be a problem related to the anynet service and the autodetection that the HT System uses. I have tried new HDMI cables and the problem still persists. However when watching a movie or when on the main screen for the system everything seems fine and the display does not come and go.

I think you're talking about power saver. The unit goes off if idle for few minutes or when the TV is turned on or off. Other devices connected to the unit can also cause it to go off or on. Or the stability of your power outlet.

With my HT-C6600, I'm staring at the Netflix instant queue page. At the bottom of the screen it says "Home" and "Page Move" but I can't for the life of me figure out what buttons on the remote select them. Home has a red square next to it, but it isn't the A button.
