This happened to me too. You have to write the code down and immediately go to your Netflix in the App section and enter the code. I had to go to my home office computer to get the code and then when I went back to my tv and system to enter it. It had already expired. I ultimately had the Netflix up and open on my tv screen, at the box to enter the code, then went and got the code, came right down and entered it. It took it! Hope this helps.

Question

Why can I not find a browser on Internet@TV?

I expected that a product with the name "Internet@tv" would allow me to search the Internet with a browser and visit websites. Why am I only seeing Apps? Please tell me this unit has a browser of some sort. Otherwise, I might return it. Other products offer this feature at a much lower cost.

If this home theater system was designed for sale and sold in the United States, it will support Blu-ray Region "A" and DVDs in Region "1".

International movies would have to conform with either permissions to be shown in Region A/1 respectively, or have no "flag" for a regional limitation. (A flag will allow or deny, based on permissions by the disc author).

It will depend on the disc's designation to determine if it will play in specific regions.

Question

Why does my home theater go into "protect" mode when i turn the volume up?

I just had my home theater (awesome so far!) put in. I am having issues when I turn the volume up, or try to calibrate it, it displays "protect" and turns off. This is very frustrating. Some broadcasts are quiet and I need to turn it up. How can I fix this? I have looked in the manual and cannot find anything about "protect".
Thank you for any help with this!!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your home theater system.

Often times, "PROTECT" appears when speaker polarity wires are crossed.

Check to make sure, both at the back of the home theater system and then at the back of each individual speaker, that none of the positive or negative wires are exposed or touching each other.

This is usually the cause of why the "PROTECT" mode appears on the player. If that doesn't solve the issue, the unit may need to be serviced or you may need to have additional troubleshooting performed by a Samsung call agent. To do that, you can reach the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG for further assistance.

Question

unit does not keep selected input signal and only sporadic audio

I hooked up my cable box/DVR via HDMI to the HTC6600, from there with a HDMI cable to my Samsung Plasma PN58C6500
I am using the Remote from the HTC 6600 for both, TV as well as HTC unit

Always after powering up the unit, the selected input jumps from HDMI 1 to D.-In
How does the unit remember the selected input?

SEcondly, always when powering up the unit and the HDMI input ( for my cable box ) is finally selected, there is no audio. I always have to either power down and up the unit to get sound or have to use the input source button and go through the complete cycle.

Is this a glitch, do I need a new firmware and if yes, how do I get it? I have not hooked it up to the internet and do not intend to.

You can either direct connect a ethernet cable from your home network, or use the Samsung wireless lan adapter that can with your HTS. Once you plug in the wireless adapter it starts the set-up automatically. I run my network under DHCP which automatically assigns IP. This made hooking up HTS plug and play.

Check to make sure that you're sending the televisions audio output to the optical cable to the home theater system's input if yo're using the TV's tuner for watching regular TV.

If you're using a cable or satellite box, run the optical audio cable from the cable or satellite box's optical audio out directly to your home theater system's optical audio input.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Or you can also call them directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

We appreciate your support of Samsung products, and we look forward to assisting you.

Question

What happened tp my internet@tv service?

I was at the home screen and suddenly, on its own, started deleting all my apps. I couldn't access anything. So I reset the unit. I did all my initial set up. Network is connected. When I go to the Internet@tv home screen it freezes with a dialog box that says "connect to the internet.... not available in some countries." I cannot do anything. Please help! The only thing I did prior to this was check for an update and an error message came up saying something wasn't matching.

I’m sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Blu-ray player. It may be best to try to reset your unit.

We recommend trying to reset the unit by turning the unit on and making sure that the disc tray is empty. Then, press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. Then, go through the initial setup and power down the unit. Then, try and restart the unit and you should have proper operation.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:

Or you can also call them directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

Replacement parts can be obtained by contacting the Samsung parts department at 1-800-627-4368, or by ordering directly from the www.Samsungparts.com website.

Try calling them directly at the phone number if the website says that they are backordered. Perhaps they will have a solution for your specific situation.

Question

Are there planned improvements to the Samsung Apps Netflix application?

Are there plans to release an updated version of the Samsung Apps Netflix app for Samsung Blu-Ray players and home theater systems? The current application falls (very) short of my Roku box and laptop for streaming Netflix in a number of ways:

1) No Netflix search function. Both the Netflix web player and Roku box provide some mechanism for searching the Netflix catalog. Samsung's App only gives access to items you have placed in your instant queue.
2) Streaming/buffering on the Samsung Blu-ray home theater (HT-C6600) is terrible with many stops to buffer, especially when streaming HD even when hard-wired to an internet source which the Samsung devices identifies as having a 10 Mbps feed. When it fails on the Samsung, I can move over to the Roku box (on WiFi) and stream without any trouble. Very frustrating.

Suggested improvements:
* Better buffering
* Ability to select video quality (SD/HD)
* Ability to search Netflix catalog
* Child protection feature for Netflix playback(?)
